  • Caused lights to flicker.
Color: Single Burner- 110V
I was looking forward to a bit more heat than my 1500watt cooktop. But as soon as this was plugged in, without any temp set my house lights started to flicker. Tried the other one..no problem. Returning this one.

This just plugs into the wall. Very nice looking and can be inserted into countertop or just unplug and store away.

  • It will heat up fast!
Color: Single Burner- 110V
When I pulled it out of the box and found it to be lightweight and pretty much all plastic, I was worried, but it turned out to work well. It boils water fast! After I boiled the water and removed the hot pot, I was able to place my hands underneath the unit, and pick it up to move it. While the top was hot, the bottom was not hot in the least bit, and more importantly, neither was my counter top. The heat dissipating fan works great! This was great news because I plan on using this on a plastic picnic table. After experimenting with the settings, I found the temperatures that I needed. A good cook can become familiar with the heat settings quickly. Test the heat of your pan before you just start throwing food in there and expecting the lower settings to fry an egg or whatever. It’s a little pricey, but it’s very portable and works well. ... show more

  • Heats Up Quickly!
Color: Single Burner- 110V
The media could not be loaded. This does heat up quickly, I can vouch for that. The surface is easy to clean. And I like how it is a touch screen. You can use any pot of any material. There are multiple options to choose from, like melt, simmer, steam, boil, and roast. However, it is confusing, though. Fry means deep fry or stir fry? And what is Heav? And hor? The on/off button is confusing as well. Once you plug it in, the on/off button lights up, which you might think it is "on". But in order to start it, you need to touch the on/off button even though the red light is on. Then, keep touching the function button to select your setting. If you long press the function button, it switches from temperature to power wattage. I am hoping this will replace our burner which uses butane gas. Butane gas tends to release less gas as the can gets colder, thus resulting in smaller flames. So when we cook something on the dining table, we get impatient. This will solve that problem. ... show more

  • Works great
Color: Single Burner- 110V
I am extremely happy with this. The burner heats up quickly and evenly, allowing for efficient cooking. The sensor touch controls are easy to use and the timer and residual heat indicator are very helpful features. One of the best things about this cooktop is the child safety lock. As a parent, I feel much more at ease knowing that my child cannot accidentally turn on the burner. Additionally, the compact size and lightweight design make it easy to store and transport. Overall, I highly recommend the Cooksir Portable Electric Cooktop to anyone in need of a reliable and safe cooking option. The combination of its features and ease of use make it a great addition and a simple solution for turning any room into a kitchen. ... show more

  • Good so far.
Color: Single Burner- 110V
The cooktop has been great so far. At first, I plugged it in to the same circuit as my led lighting and whenever I turned on the cooktop, the led lights would pulsate slightly. I moved plugs and all is working great. I'm in a temporary living situation currently, as I moved behind my parents into a tiny home in order to help with my mom's dementia. This means I don't have much space. This cooktop helps tremendously with the space issue. I can use it to cook my meals and I can easily store it when done. I can see it being used as an extra cooktop in a conventional house, etc. I don't think it's an induction cooktop although I haven't tried it with induction cookware. So far so good though. I'll update my review should anything change. ... show more

  • A little slow to heat compared to a gas stove, but works great and has good safety features.
I'm in the process of installing a mini-kitchen within a studio apartment in the basement of our house. This single-burner, plug-in stovetop works well for this purpose. It can be plugged in directly to an outlet and as such does not need extra wiring or a dedicated connection. It is a little slow to heat compared to regular gas stove in the main kitchen, but it seems about normal for an electric range. The glass surface with touch control features looks stylish built-in, and the unit could be used portably as well with a standard AC power outlet. The temperature of most of the glass top does not get too hot even with the stove at max temperature. You can see how close my finger was able to get touching the glass without risking a burn in the image above. The glass is also very easy to clean compared to a metal or ceramic stovetop. I love the safety features. When the stove is off, an "H" appears flashing at the control setting letting you know it is hot and not safe to touch while it cools down. One small thing I don’t like about this device is that it has a power setting of 1 through 9, and when pressing the + button from 9, it restarts at 0 instead of giving an error beep saying it can’t turn up the heat any. This feature is very helpful in many lists with different options, but I find it inconvenient when used with the power setting on a stove. One other complaint I have about this item is that it only has one burner. I would like to have ordered something with two burners, but the only options for units with two or more burners required hardwiring the units into the wall instead of utilizing an outlet. However, that is not a fault of this device and as such has not detracted from this review in any way. Overall, I’d recommend this device, especially for use by a single individual in their own dorm room or studio apartment. I wouldn’t recommend it for a family of 3 or more because of the single burner, but there are other options such as the 2-burner and 4-burner units available from the same manufacturer with most of the same features with the exception of portability via use with an AC outlet. ... show more
