When I was working in the study in the afternoon, the room upstairs was always stuffier than other places, so I put this 3-in-1 mini air cooler on the desk to try it out. After filling the water tank, plug it in and it will soon be blowing soft cool air. It's not big and won't take up space when placed next to the monitor. Usually I turn on the mid-range wind speed and add a little mist function to make the air feel fresher. The cooling actually works when you fill it with water and turn on the mist mode. It's not like a real air conditioner, but it does make the air around me feel noticeably cooler and less dry. The water tank holds enough that I can fill it in the morning and it lasts most of my workday. I haven't had any leaks yet, which is good because I'd hate to ruin my desk. The tank is easy to refill at the bathroom sink and you can see how much water is left through the clear plastic. Noise level is pretty good.
