This unit is a gem with a multitude of convenient features: AC, fan, dehumidifier, sleep timer, a temperature range of 61-88F, remote control, and more. Currently, it's set up in my kitchen, providing much-needed relief while baking. It’s been wonderful not having to worry about the house heating up during the hot summer days, thanks to this unit. Its sleek and compact design fits seamlessly into any space without looking awkward. It's also relatively quiet, on par with a tabletop fan. Installation was a breeze, with straightforward instructions that were easy to follow. The remote control is a fantastic addition, allowing me to adjust the temperature or turn the unit on and off from across the room. My only gripe is the missing screen for the end of the exhaust tube to keep bugs out. However, this isn't a major issue for me since I keep the window screen closed. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

This portable air conditioner works great at cooling our large bedroom even in the triple digit heat. Easy to set up and runs nice and quiet. Originally got it to supplement our main unit but also used it at my parents while their air conditioner was being repaired. Easy to move between houses.

Does the unit cool the room sufficiently? Yes - it does a very good job of cooling the space. That said I find there are several “issues.” The exhaust tube gets warm - very, very warm. I don’t know if harmful gases are being released from the plastic. For the most part the instructions are well translated. The diagrams are very small (and light) making them a little hard to understand, particularly how to drain the water (if need be.) What is missing? Well the grate over the exhaust adapter, even though it is pictured and called out in the instructions. There is a small package of “accessories” with no reference in the instructions. The remote is easy to figure out. There is one screw and one bolt and wing nut assembly. The wing nut being used for extending the window adapter, and the screw to attach the exhaust adapter to the window adapter. However, these is also a black rubber-like piece (with a washer) that just baffles me as there is no mention that I could find in the instructions. Now for the biggest problem I have with the unit’s design. The user guide says that if the “Water Full Key” lights up to turn off the machine, unplug it, and drain the water. Here is the issue I have. The drain plug is at the bottom of the unit, with a clearance of maybe an inch to the floor. So to drain the water the unit would have to be placed on some sort of stand (box, table, etc.) The instructions say in the dehumidifier mode (which I am guessing is the "Dry" mode) the "continuous" drain mode can be used. Well why can't the "continuous" drain mode be used in the Cool" mode also? Seems to me to be the same.

I bought this because my AC was not performing well and we needed something to supplement until we got things resolved. I am sure glad we bought it because our AC went out completely a few days after we got it. Now, this thing definitely isn't up to the task of cooling an entire house. At best, it will cool a larger bedroom. My wife and I ended up sleeping right in front of the thing for a couple of nights and stayed perfectly cool while the rest of the house was in the mid 80s. I had to trim the window adapter a bit for it to fit, but a quick cut on my miter saw and it fit well. The smaller slideout part of the adapter leaves a very small gap because it is slightly narrower so it can slide in/out of the larger piece to accommodate any size window. I filled in that gap with some thin foam backer rod which made for a nice seal overall.

Great product, kept the room cool when my ac control panel went out (the system is only a few years old so a real shocker), they had to order the part and could not fix it the same day. My AC guy says he uses a portable ac unit to cool a room at home. He says even without venting it will cool, but ideally to vent so the hot air has somewhere to go. Kept the pooches and I from becoming ill during a heat wave without ac! I was planning on using this for a back up system and to cool a room hard to cool, good thing I had already ordered it!
