It is on par noise level with my other unit in a different part of the house. This cools quickly! I use it in my living room/kitchen (550sq ft ish area). I have it in a smaller window than the kit came for, but some small modifications to the window piece and it works great! I did add some foam insulated around the window piece as well to seal it off well to keep the warm air out. It is a great price for the size of unit! This will definitely keep the house more tolerable in the crazy summer heat we have been having this year!

Received on time, easy to unbox, minimal assembly of hoses/vents, set-up without my husband’s assistance. Product is used in a home with a central a/c. Temp is set at 74 on the main central thermostat but the bedroom temp is 76-78. This portable ac brings the temp down well below that setting. Having this unit causes the central ac less stress and less sweating when trying to get ready for the day and ready to rest. Since it’s portable, I do plan on rolling it into my kitchen/dining room when needed. Although the unit is still new I am impressed with the build and quality. Seems like a solid and dependable addition. I have hot flashes and diabetes so it’s easy to cool down quickly when needed without cooling down the whole house.

I’m very versed on dealing with portable air conditioners, I have needed them for the past few summers because I’m not in a place to pay $7000 for a new ac unit. I know how to care for them, like leaving it upright for a few days before starting it and the proper draining procedure and everything else. This unit had such good reviews, I wanted to save an extra hundred bucks by trying this one and not sticking with the brand name one (Black & Decker) that we have downstairs that has lasted me the past 3 summers, pretty much leaving it on nonstop. That was a mistake. I got this one for our upstairs bedroom. It really barely worked the first night, also the hose is this super cheap crappy plastic that came dented and deformed… we literally couldn’t screw it in to where it goes on the unit. We had to tape it with packing tape just to get it to stay. So it barely cooled the tiny room the first night, the second night it just broke. Stopped working completely. For no reason. So yeah, we returned it and got our money back and bought another of b&d one that we have downstairs for a little more money, but it works perfectly and now we can sleep in our bed again. Yeah idk maybe ours was a fluke bad unit but I don’t really know how that could be. At least the return was easy and the refund was really quick.

I received this unit within three days of ordering, so shipping was quick and reliable. Setup however, is definitely more of a hands-on process than the manual suggests. The instructions are vague, and the diagrams aren’t very clear. I had to snap off sections of the sliding window piece to get it to fit properly in my window without covering the exhaust outlet, but once I got it in, everything worked fine. One thing to note: I had to press the reset button on the power cord before the unit would turn on —easy fix, but not mentioned in the instructions. Once it’s up and running, though? It’s awesome. Operating the unit is simple, the controls are intuitive, and it comes with a remote (just bring your own AAA batteries). The design is sleek, and it offers cooling, fan, and dehumidifier modes. Even just running on high fan + cooling at 61°F for 20 minutes made a noticeable drop in room temperature. I’ve been using box fans to help circulate the air throughout my space, and it’s helped tremendously during a heat wave while my central AC is down. The unit is also quieter than most portable ACs I’ve used, which I really appreciate. My only gripe is with the drainage port—it’s located all the way at the bottom of the unit, which makes draining after using the dehumidifier mode a little awkward. One thing to keep in mind: while it advertises as 10,000 BTU, the actual cooling capacity (DOE/SACC rating) is closer to 7,000 BTU, which is pretty typical for portable ACs due to how they’re tested. It still performs well in small to medium rooms and holds its own, especially for the price.

Received this AC unit just in time for the summer. It cools my one bedroom apartment Pros: portable with wheels, very good air quality, no more dry eyes, throat or nasal passages. Cools bedroom in short amount of time. Cons: exhaust hose not stable enough, easily detaches with the slightest movement. Gaps around exhaust hose leading out the window, you will need to duck tape to prevent outside air leaks and insects. I have a vertical slide window and there are gaps that need to be tape. The company upgraded the unit but they seriously need to upgrade the exhaust hose to fit more snug at both ends. Every time I made an adjustment to the hose it kept popping out at both ends, that was a struggle for me. Other than the unit works perfectly fine. Second photo shows gap in vertical window. I gave it four stars because of hose as state above in my comment.

We’ve been struggling to stay comfortable during this intense heat wave, and this portable air conditioner has been a total game-changer.
