My upstairs AC was on the fritz last year and I didn’t want to fully replace it, so I got this unit to cool my bedroom and it was great all summer. I just got home from a trip to find my upstairs AC on the fritz again in 93 degree weather, so I pulled it out again. It still runs like a charm and made my bedroom much cooler in minutes- I like feeling the hot air moving in the tubing as it’s pulled out the window. Only negatives: I just recall the plastic piece that fits into your window being not quite correct so I had to cut it down to size. And I wish there was an option to instantly turn it on to the setting so I could use a smart plug to turn it on when I’m not home. But all in all I’m still very happy with it!

I received this unit within three days of ordering, so shipping was quick and reliable. Setup however, is definitely more of a hands-on process than the manual suggests. The instructions are vague, and the diagrams aren’t very clear. I had to snap off sections of the sliding window piece to get it to fit properly in my window without covering the exhaust outlet, but once I got it in, everything worked fine. One thing to note: I had to press the reset button on the power cord before the unit would turn on —easy fix, but not mentioned in the instructions. Once it’s up and running, though? It’s awesome. Operating the unit is simple, the controls are intuitive, and it comes with a remote (just bring your own AAA batteries). The design is sleek, and it offers cooling, fan, and dehumidifier modes. Even just running on high fan + cooling at 61°F for 20 minutes made a noticeable drop in room temperature. I’ve been using box fans to help circulate the air throughout my space, and it’s helped tremendously during a heat wave while my central AC is down. The unit is also quieter than most portable ACs I’ve used, which I really appreciate. My only gripe is with the drainage port—it’s located all the way at the bottom of the unit, which makes draining after using the dehumidifier mode a little awkward. One thing to keep in mind: while it advertises as 10,000 BTU, the actual cooling capacity (DOE/SACC rating) is closer to 7,000 BTU, which is pretty typical for portable ACs due to how they’re tested. It still performs well in small to medium rooms and holds its own, especially for the price.

I bought this to assist with my central AC upstairs. Working from home with two dogs and computers in the room with me makes my office heat up extremely fast. Other reviews raved about how quiet this unit is, but it’s too loud to be in my office. I ended up setting it up in the room across the hall and turned on fans to move the air. This unit supposedly cools up to 450 sq ft, and my entire upstairs might be 500 sq ft. The first couple days it was great but then it started shutting off after 20-30 minutes saying it was full. I dealt with this for a few days before trying to better insulate the window it vents out of. I gave it the full day to see if things improved now that humid air wasn’t coming in the window but it still is only running approximately 20 minutes before saying it’s full. Even with the door to the room it’s in shut it has a very short run time. This wouldn’t be so bad if there was a continuous drain option but that’s only possible for dehumidifier mode. Every time it has to be emptied I have to unplug it, unhook the vent, roll it to the hall and then carry it across the carpeted hall and lift onto the edge of the tub to drain. The unit is heavy and cumbersome. Absolutely do not recommend this unit at all.

Received on time, easy to unbox, minimal assembly of hoses/vents, set-up without my husband’s assistance. Product is used in a home with a central a/c. Temp is set at 74 on the main central thermostat but the bedroom temp is 76-78. This portable ac brings the temp down well below that setting. Having this unit causes the central ac less stress and less sweating when trying to get ready for the day and ready to rest. Since it’s portable, I do plan on rolling it into my kitchen/dining room when needed. Although the unit is still new I am impressed with the build and quality. Seems like a solid and dependable addition. I have hot flashes and diabetes so it’s easy to cool down quickly when needed without cooling down the whole house.

Hose: This is the weak point of the unit. The hose crinkles too easily and doesn’t spring back into shape unless I push from the inside. It’s also really thin, so on a 95° day the outside of the hose was about 93°, which let a lot of heat back into the room and fought against the AC. Once I added an insulated wrap, the hose surface dropped to 83° within 30 minutes and the ambient heat was no longer an issue. The connectors are fine and the length is decent. Controls: The buttons on top are straightforward and the remote works well — no lag and very easy to adjust settings on the fly. Window Kit: The adjustable slide bar fits both vertical and horizontal windows. I like that the connector locks down into place instead of just hanging there, but the thinner part of the slide bar leaves gaps on the sides where hot air sneaks in. I sealed those gaps and it made a big difference. The locknuts to hold the slide bar steady are a nice touch. Drainage: The unit has two drain plugs — one for regular AC use and one for the dehumidifier. Draining is simple and doesn’t make a mess, though I only used the main AC plug since I haven’t run it as a dehumidifier. Performance: After insulating the hose and sealing the window kit, the AC really delivered. It cooled my office from 95° down to 65° and even switched to fan mode to maintain the temp, despite electronics giving off extra heat in the room. Without the tweaks it struggles, but with them it works well. Overall, this is a solid unit with good cooling power once you fix the hose and window gaps. For the value, it’s effective for small to mid-sized rooms, just know you may want an insulation sleeve and some extra sealing. Pros: Strong cooling once adjusted, simple controls with remote, easy drainage system with two plugs, decent window kit design, manageable noise Cons: Thin, heat-leaking hose; window kit leaves side gaps unless sealed

We’ve been struggling to stay comfortable during this intense heat wave, and this portable air conditioner has been a total game-changer. From the moment we turned it on, it started cooling the room quickly and efficiently. It’s surprisingly powerful for its size and does a fantastic job at maintaining a consistent, refreshing temperature—especially in rooms that tend to get hot and stuffy. The setup was straightforward, and it’s easy to move around, so we can cool different areas of the house as needed. It’s also quieter than we expected, which is a big plus since we can run it while sleeping or watching TV without being disturbed. Overall, we’re extremely happy with this purchase. We wanted to try a portable unit for our bedroom vs. a window unit. The price was right to try. Delivered right away (however driver left in middle of driveway and this is HEAVY). I was able to pull/push it up the stairs in the box. As others have stated, the directions are not great. We had to cut the bar to fit in our window. When we extended the exhaust hose, many of the seams were cracked (had no successful remedy when contacting Amazon). The unit cools our large bedroom. After running a few hours the unit will shut off and turn back on. This happens all night and wakes us up each time. We thought maybe it was shutting off when it hit temperature, but adjusting temp makes no difference. As others have said, we had to tape the exhaust hose to the unit. It kept coming off and sending heat into the room. We are contemplating putting our window unit back in the window so we can sleep through the night. I would say this unit would be good for a living room, not for a bedroom if you want to sleep through the night. I use the top hose plug with a bucket for the condensation hose. The bottom hose is too difficult to empty.

I bought this after reading reviews and researching the company. It seems they make a quality product. Upon receiving, installing, and operating the unit that I would have to agree. Setup was a breeze with no hiccups. It definitely chills my bedroom down which is what I wanted. Loft bedroom where all of the heat from the house rises up and cooks the room during the day. Upon installation I can easily take the room from 95F to 70F in a very short time. It's quiet, perhaps too quiet for me. I was hoping for a little more white noise to help me sleep but most would prefer how quiet it is. For me it was easily the best bang for my buck.
