We are very happy with the purchase of this ac unit. We live in Florida and the heat is too much and this ac is helping a lot with that. Works great, quiet, filters are very easy to clean, and hubby has happy it was easy to install. We were looking for the vent to be on the top so air can circulate better in the room. I was a little annoyed I couldn't connect to the wifi so I can control it through my phone but I decided to email the customer service from dura comfort and after a few emails and guidance with them I was finally able to do it. I was just pressing the fan button wrong and it wasn't working the way I was doing it, it was actually very easy to connect to the wifi after the emails. I was trying for days on my own. Happy I emailed them for help, they were very patience with me and the process so it's def worth it I definitely recommend this ac unit. ... show more

We have a 1 bedroom open style apartment. The previous 9,000 btu we purchased elsewhere didnt help much. Plus it had the tube that water had to drain into a bucket/container. This unit is a 14,000 btu. It blows even-flow cold air. Fits into the window as directions show perfectly. It does not drain water. This is amazing not to have to dump water. This is on wheels and with a turn toward the small kitchen/bedroom area it cools both areas. Same amount of money spent for the 9,000 unit. This unit is a wonderful buy. Evenly distributed cool air. On 90 degree days it is appreciative to be in comfort. Wish we would have found this sooner! Feels like central a/c! ... show more

    • Good AC with a big helping of spyware
When you download the app from Apple, it immediately begins violating your trust by copying your clipboard without your permission. Following the login process, which requests additional unnecessary data, they ask you to enable location services so that they can "help find your network," which is a bogus reason that only adds to the personal information trove they're selling. Finally, the developers haven't even provided the privacy details of their application on the app store and can't submit an update until they do... it's been 2 years and I doubt they'll give up their honeypot now. Now I couldn't get the app to connect to the unit, but I would be shocked if the unit didn't continue to spy on the user. I will say, however, that the air conditioner works perfectly offline. *I will not retract or alter this review. ... show more

    • Life Saver
This has been an excellent purchase for us. We have a very old house with no A/C. Only an evaporative cooler which becomes useless when there’s a hint of humidity. I purchased an extra air hose and coupler for more mobility. It cools a 200 sq ft room extremely well. I put a pedestal fan in front of it to really push the cool air out. If I turn the fan around and off center from the vent, I can cool the room directly behind the unit as well as the original room. I had an LG model before that was nearly twice as loud as this unit. This unit makes noise but you can watch TV and have conversations with it on. ... show more

    • It does working well in the kitchen.
My kitchen has 3 large refrigerators and a freezer. It is the hottest place in summer and winter. Also, dogs are always playing in the kitchen as they enter and exit the patio using the dog doors in the kitchen. This summer is fatally hot for French Bulldogs. I made it for that reason, and I think I made a really good choice. It cools quickly and the temperature adjustment is simple, which is also good. ... show more
