i have tried many not branded 'popsockets' and most of them worked fine. Some of them were for a fraction of this price but lasted around 6 months max. It is up to you, how long you will want to use it for. I used to put a popsocket on my phone case so then when I wanted to change my phone case because of yellowing (I dont like that so I change my cover often) I would have to get a new popsocket too. So for that I do not think this one would be worth it. But if you have a non-yellowing case or solid color case or if you get a mag-safe phone case and magnetic pad on top of the phone case, you can stick your popsocket on top of that pad and even remove it to charge with mag safe charger. I just found out so now I know i can invest more into the OG Popsocket, which is very sturdy and safe. I got this one to treat my mom as it is nice and shiny and very glam-lady like. So yes, the price is high for that little piece on your phone. But you can bet that the quality really is exceptional and most likely it will last you for a year on more depending on usage. In my experience the PopSockets are the best. I've tried a couple of other brands that didn't stick nor did they have the plethora of colors and patterns. They're a little more expensive but they are so well worth it. My last one lasted almost 4 years without fail. I got a new phone so I needed a new PopSocket. The pictures don't show how pretty and classy this looks, and the colors of the PopSocket and phone go together really well. ... show more

Very pretty and effective! I’ve never had an issue with the stickiness going away but I have heard that other people do — maybe it depends on the case it’s put on? Mine is more of a plasticy case so maybe keep that in mind. Also I have a pop socket car mount and I was a bit worried that this one wouldn’t fit since it’s more 3D than a normal one, but it does in fact fit (just a little more snug). Update: after 3 days I had my first issue with it coming off. I do intend on just using either some two way tape or maybe even glue to stick it to my case, but the stickiness issue is in fact a real thing. ... show more

This was a replacement of an identical Popsocket that was about a year old. This is beautiful and matches the trim perfectly on my lavender S21 phone. But, I fidget with my Popsocket constantly. I've had this style of popsocket for a couple months now and I love it. I get so many compliments on the color and style. It goes well on my popsocket slide grip since I've had the issue where my phone becomes hot and the adhesive just ends up messing up my case and then not sticking when I have to move it. So far, the wear and tear has been limited. I do not see any visible scratches on the surface except for one. It's held up pretty well. The only complaint that I have with this popsocket is that when I put my phone down, it wobbles because of the domed style of the popsocket itself, so it will never lie flat. The only time it wobbles is if I put my phone down vertically with it out. Horizontally, it does fine. This comes with the design so I can't say it's an actual flaw. This is my review so far. I saw a bunch of people say theirs comes unstuck. I always have a smooth phone case so idk of that makes a difference. I also always use rubbing alcohol and scrub the case surface before application. I then place it once ( I don't move/remove mine) and then use heavy pressure for 30 seconds and I haven't had one of these fall off. I realize now that the white popsocket material is going to yellow from use with the other white one I have. The aluminum will scratch after a while. I had the non swappable gold aluminum and that eventually will scratch. As far as this not having stick, I could barely remove the sticker backing it was so stuck so that is why I remarked what I do above. If it falls apart I'll change my review. ... show more

I honestly thought it had a magnet backing. I was disappointed but will make use of this. I really like the color and quality. The sticky is very strong and durable. So far no issues and it works great.
