I've been a fan of Poppy & Pout for a while now and love their original lip balms, so when I discovered the tinted ones, I just had to try them. Once again, a winner lip product. The ingredients are so clean, the colors are subtle so they don't scream "I'm wearing lipstick", and the peppermint adds a tingle and fresh scent. I went with the Best Sellers trio and am obsessed with the darker shade (Roxie). I'm not one who likes a super obvious lipstick look, so thought it would be too dramatic for my complexion, but it blends really well and slightly amplifies my natural color. I was excited to try this Oprah recommendation but for me, I was sadly disappointed. The colors were not vibrant enough for me, but it did go on smoothly. Comes in a tube that is hard to get the product up and then back down after you’ve applied.

I was hesitant to try these at first, but after some convincing by a friend I bought the best sellers trio and I’ve been converted!!! The colors are very nice, and they can be subtle or darkened up! I expected the darkest shade to be a little much for me, but it is actually a great everyday shade. The other two are more on the nude scale, which I like to use when I’m going to work or with certain outfits! They’re so smooth and feel hydrating! I loved the idea of recyclable packaging, and the ingredients list looked great. Unfortunately, when I received the product, I did not realize there was such a high amount of shimmer/frost, which looks totally 80’s or early 2000’s to me. I liked the highly pigmented colors, but the shades are way too light for the majority of skin tones! I have fair but warm skin complexion. The lighter two of the three shades were way too light even for my skin. The third shade I liked enough to hopefully use despite the shimmer, but once I pushed up the tube, it would not push back down, and when closed stuck to the cap, rendering it useless. First of all, the packaging that it comes in is GORGEOUS. And it's all recyclable, which is incredible. The tints themselves are so great, lightweight and definitely buildable. My favorite part is the minty feeling on my lips! So refreshing. This little 3-pack is PERFECT for a gift idea for the friends that you're not really sure what to get because it's more fancy (and way better quality) than regular chapstick! I love the packaging for this product! From the outermost box to the container this product is in, everything is recyclable yet doesn’t look cheaply done. In regards to the product itself, it goes on smoothly and feels so nice on. I personally am not one to wear lipstick often so this was the perfect everyday lip color as it remains sheer.
