10W with backup battery PROS: Works fine. Easy to install (although directions were pretty useless). I had to buy a 3/8" tube, but it worked great between the pump and the pipe that feeds the fountain. I just got it yesterday, but by the time I got up this morning, it had already charged enough to get it running. At some point, I might buy a stronger pump and hook it into the solar panel to get a heavier flow so the waterfall will be a bit louder, but for now, it's fine. I haven't seen the fancy lights yet (should see them tonight after it's dark), but I'm not too concerned with that. I actually would have taken them off, but they're connected to the pump and I don't see any way to get them off. CONS: The directions are just awful. I got totally confused when I read: "Standby: The solar pump fountain will be activated within 1-3 seconds in the sunlight. If it's not activated, the solar pump fountain cannot work normally. The LED lights flashes once [sic] time when the battery has enough power. ... Auto Function: When the battery power is more than 70% the battery will assist the fountain working during the daytime [sic] when the sunlight is weak or the weather is bad. The battery power is less than 70% [sic] it will stop assist. The LED light flashes twice time [sic] when the battery has enough power after you change to auto function." Since it was pretty sunny when I was putting it together and the LED lights flashed as mentioned above, I assumed it had sufficient power to run the pump. However, it wouldn't pump at all. So, I took the little pump apart and cleaned it as directed. Still didn't work. So, I wasn't sure whether it was a bad pump or if it just wasn't charged enough. Since it really hadn't had much time to charge, I assumed (correctly) that it needed some time in the sun to fully charge and operate the pump. I gave up and positioned my solar panel to get full sun this morning and by the time I got up, it was working fine. Even though the flow is not very heavy, I can hear a lovely trickling sound and am very happy with my purchase. Oh, and there is a little switch on the pump itself (you have to look for it, but it's there. I found it when I was cleaning the pump.) This is the "flow control valve" that controls the water flow. I don't see that it helped mine much, but I'll play with it again after it has plenty of time to charge and see if it makes a difference. Anyway, I got a great price for the whole package and I'm really happy with its overall performance. Not sure if I'd pay what they're asking now (for some reason, it went up nearly $20 the day after I bought it and the one that's on there now doesn't have the battery backup). Go figure!

We purchased this to replace a solar powered pump that just didn’t pump out enough water. This does much better as far as water flow…but not having a battery backup (and therefore pumping no water when cloudy) is the only drawback. We’ve figured out how to add a battery backup so all in all it functions great!

I bought this unit on 4/22/23. I spent a little bit more because I thought I was getting a better quality product, but sadly, it stopped working about a month after installing it. I called the 1-800 number for the company as well as sent a direct email. They answered immediately, asking me to send my order number as well as my address and told me, “Not to worry, we’ll send another right out!” Unfortunately, it took two months and several more phone calls before they sent the new unit. UPDATE: After a second call to the company, the sent the replacement as promised.

Received pump but after a few days the pump stopped working. I reached out to the vendor who immediately sent me instructions for repair. I followed the instructions but the pump still failed. Again I reached out to the vendor regarding the faulty pump. He was very apologetic and said he would immediately send out a new one. So I expected in a week or so to receive a new pump but instead, the very next day I received a new pump! I installed the new pump and now, after several weeks, the new pump is still performing perfectly. I have, since delivery, received two follow-up notes from this vendor making sure that everything is going well. I have never felt more care from a supplier before. The emails have been both caring and sincere. I will purchase from this vendor again and gave 5 stars because even though the first pump failed, the concern and resolution were top notch. This customer service person deserves a pay raise as he did everything right!

My pump did not work when I set it up. The company sent me a new pump a few days after I voiced my concerns. After receiving the new pump, it worked immediately. The only problem I have is if the solar panel is not in the direct sun, it does not work at all. I have other solar fountains that work without direct sunlight. The description did read full sun, but I did not realize how true that was until using it.

The media could not be loaded. I was very grateful to be offered this price on Amazon and it worked perfect for my application which is a beautiful 5-ft, four tiered Sunnydaze fountain that I wanted to convert to solar. I didn't even need to use any of the included attachments. It was a simple install, I just attached the pump to the tube that was already in the fountain and fed the solar cord through the bottom. it took me all but a minute and the fountain worked immediately when I added water. I'm very pleased. I hope it lasts a while. this pump is comparable to the sunnydaze model AMP-P002C priced at 150.00 which has a 56" lift. Downside, you need to decide if you would rather have your fountain working in the morning or end of the day or go outside to relocate the solar panel as the sun goes down. Think of this before you position your fountain so that you get the most hours from your fountain because this unit only works when the sun is shining directly and fully on the panel.
