Section dry hair so it's 1/2" thick and 3" wide. Press down firmly and hold covers closed for 5 secs. Use hair spray before and/or after to lock in style!

This is a neat idea. And it does work to stamp the hair. But then you can’t tell unless you plan to have intense hair spray so the hair doesn’t move at all. Once that hair separates, it just looks lumpy. I tried to stamp it and then pull it back, but that was difficult too. I don’t know how it could have been made differently, it looks and feels like it’s of good quality, it just doesn’t actually end up looking that great in reality.
