My 5 1/2 already knows how to swim so this is just another fun tool he can use in the pool. The hand holes are great for gripping and it’s small enough to fit his chest. It does what it says and I imagine it’d be great for kids learning to swim & being able to practice kicking.

My son is 4 and hasn't completely learned to swim yet. He's pretty good, probably good enough to save himself if he fell in a pool or something similar, but he's also kind of a nervous kid and takes time to get used to things. This board provides some extra confidence and buoyancy, so he can kick around the pool without a floatation vest. We're hopeful he'll graduate from this soon to be a confident swimmer, but we'll keep this for our next child who's due in a month or so. ... show more

I picked this out for my kindergartener that loves playing in the pool but isn't a fan of the bulkier swim trainers. This allows him to position his body better and work on his kicks in proper positioning. This is difficult to do with any of the wearable swim trainers. Love this.
