I bought the 21mm version and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I found it works much better on a hard surface. I hit balls from my patio into my lawn. With a hard surface below, you will know every time you chunk it and every time you hit it perfectly. In my opinion, this improved my skill and I'm less likely to chunk it on a fairway. A compact dirt area may have the same effect. I found that it was just too forgiving when I placed it over grass. I also have been leaving it setup in the backyard. We have a net set up in our backyard strung between two trees and had a smaller thinner mat that we were hitting off of from our concrete walk into the net. This other mat was okay, but when it came time to replace it after doing some research I chose this one. It's super thick, cushy to stand on, larger, and hits exactly like Mats you find at a professional driving range. Plus the included T holder makes it great to practice driver or any other club you choose to tee up because you can push the tee in as far as you like. This mat is very thick so when you hit it fat, it doesn’t hurt the club and absorbs it very nicely, Ii is very hard to believe that this mat is as good as some of the others that cost twice as much. The media could not be loaded. Received the mat and overall the quality seems nice. Went with the ultra version for the extra thickness. Foam padding is soft and mat doesn’t move when swinging. Mat measurements are a bit off 1 in of 5ft and almost 2 in of 4ft. Will try to update after use. Update: Matt did end up ripping. Rest of it seems to still be holding up well. Need to see if they warranty the product as they claim. After hitting off multiple different simulator places I can say this feels softer and easier on the body than other mats with how thick it is. ... show more
