This is perfect for my inground pool. Be careful, so many fountains sold in Amazon advertise that they are for inground when in fact they absolutely are not, so beware and look at the photo shopped pictures carefully. Do better Amazon!

    • POS pool fountain.
POS. Does not fit. Not enough plumbing tape could hold it. 1.5 in fitting. BS. I could have made one for less. Too late for refund. Hopefully Amazon will do the right thing and give a credit, we can watch Amazon movies. Who vets these things?

    • Great Fountain, If It Stays in Place
If it weren't for the fact that this fountain doesn't stay in position, I would rate it 5 stars. I do love it. It is "fairly" easy to install. The problem is that we found out the hard way that we couldn't leave ours connected permanently. It hooked up okay, but tightening it to get it in the desired position for the proper height and range of your waterfall is a tiny bit tricky. Once we had it in place, we loved it! It was a beautiful addition to our inground pool, creating a calming sight and sound for it. But...if anyone touched it, even slightly, it would be knocked right out of its perfect position. And...the worst thing for us was that we left it connected, thinking it would be a welcome addition to the pool whenever our pump was running. Unfortunately, our pump is on a timer and runs while we are not using the pool on a daily basis. One day, while the pump was running, the force of the water caused the fountain to shift, shooting the stream of water outside the pool instead of back into it. We didn't discover this until we ended up with quite a bit of water in our basement as the fountain had been shooting water directly at our house for some time. Luckily, someone was home and discovered the problem before it got much worse. From that point on, we only use this fountain supervised. Unfortunately, it's a little bit of a hassle to connect and disconnect every time, so going forward, it will only be used on special occasions. If we didn't have to worry about it, I would use it all the time as I really do love it. ... show more

    • Doesn't fit my pool but seems well made. *update* i figured it out.
I tried to install this, but my pool's return inlet is male. This has a male connection too. I'm currently looking for a solution. Also, my inlet's eyeball female fitting is a tad bit larger than this male connection. I tried to screw it on this fountain as a test; that was a fail. So basically, if I did fit my pool, I think this would work well seeing how well made it is. Since I was unable to install it, I can't rate it any higher. ***UPDATE*** My inlet has a 1.5 inch pressure fitting. When it was installed before me, the installers glued it in. Thats why i thought my inlet was male. Turns out I needed to unscrew the eyeball cover, remove the eyeball, then break the base or mount of the eyeball fitting out of my inlet. It came out in pieces and behold, my 1.5 inch inlet return. It's pressure fitted so there is no screwing or unscrewing anything from this point. I figured out how to get this to work with 1.5 inch returns inlet. Once your old fitting is removed, you will need an adapter(Hayward SP1022INS): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EL3YF6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Its a perfect fit. Just push the adapter in the same way all pressure fitted returns are installed, then screw the fountain into the adapter.The fountain works great. ... show more

    • Does not stay in place - has to be readjusted daily.
We've had this fountain for four years and it's too much trouble keeping it in place. The slightest bump of any kind as well as the hose from our pool vacuum easily knocks it out of alignment. The spray arm also comes out often from the water pressure. We are looking for another fountain. Good concept but poorly designed. We do not recommend it. ... show more
