This is more of a knife that is also a clipper. The outside edges of the blades are very sharp, I have to be careful not to cut myself! I have used it for 2 weeks on my job in the gardening industry and it has come in handy for cutting open bags, cutting twine, trimming flowers and small shrubs . It does not replace heavy duty pruners for bigger branches. It is so sharp it has caused the included holster to fray. That being said, always put it away in the holster when not in use to protect yourself or unsuspecting person from cutting themselves! ... show more

Be careful of the outside edges as they are sharp. I work as a florist and these work well on everything. Fantastic for Christmas greens and big woody stems. Work well in the hands and easy to close even over stronger stems.
