I have only run it twice but I was blown away at how quiet this monster is. Tested all the sockets. Tested the eco-mode. Was very surprised at how a large (120V) grinder plugged into it did not even push it off eco-mode. Hooked up to my house and didn't flinch at the loads. Even my 4 ton AC (which has a soft start module on it) barely pushed the generator. And that was only for a few seconds, then it idle down a bit and was cruising. I needed a portable inverter generator that was capable of powering most of my house on natural gas. The 10,500-12,500 watt rated inverter generators from most manufacturers, including Genmax, are around 7,500-8,500 watts on NG. This wasn't enough power output for my needs. The next level higher inverter generators from most manufacturers are rated 16,000-17,000 watts, 12,500-13,500 on NG. These units are much larger, much heavier and much more expensive. There was really nothing inbetween that met my requirements until Genmax released the GM13500iETC late last year. This generator is rated at 13,500 watts, with 9,500 on NG. This generator is perfect for my needs. It is very compact for a generator with this much power output. The footprint and weight is about the same as the smaller Genmax GM12,500. The price is MUCH lower than the 16,000-17,000 watt inverter generators. Also, this generator has all the latest technology, including Bluetooth remote starting and monitoring. It starts and runs to expectations. Only 30 minutes on it so far. It’s heavy, but not too heavy to move between locations. Noise level is decent. So happy it has 2-wire autostart; no other brand of large portable generator has this right now.

This is a very powerful generator, I have it connected to a 50 amp breaker in my main breaker panel and it powers my whole house including a 4 ton heat pump I do have a quick start on it ,electric dryer and oven plus a mini split unit and my pool pump all running at the same time. It is also really quiet I also have an exhaust installed on it that I purchased from Amazon. The blue tooth app work really well I can start the generator from inside the house with my phone or the remote fob. I am prepared for any power outages I have it connected to natural gas and you get everything you need to set it up all the lines for natural gas or propane and the connectors . ... show more

Tuesday, August 11, 2026. We have a bad storm coming through Northwest Indiana. My wife and I have lived in this home for two years and this was the first power outage. Two nearby neighbors both stated that they had lived in their homes for over 20 years with no power outages. In total it probably lasted about 40 hours. This generator ran the whole time except for me shutting it down for about 10 minutes to check the oil. There was a lot of material stuck on the magnetic dipstick. About six weeks before the storm hit thankfully I had a 50 amp manual transfer switched installed. I was able to run my whole home as if I was connected directly to the utility company’s line. The only thing I didn’t do was run either one of my two central AC units. I had previously tested it after the transfer switch was installed and verified that the generator we will run it however, I really should have some sort of soft start to do that. That is next on my list. If I had to say anything bad about it, it would be the app. Once I finally installed it, it wasn’t as functional as I thought it would be. Pretty much just tells you in real time what the wattages draw is. I also couldn’t get too far away from it before losing connectivity. I bought this directly from the seller.
