The Poolin EOC07 exceeded every expectation I had. Before buying it, I struggled to find an in-depth review. Most videos and articles only skimmed the surface, so after using this machine daily for 30 days and stitching more than 650,000 stitches, I wanted to answer the questions I wish someone had answered for me. For context, I've been machine embroidering for more than 26 years. I own several embroidery machines—including a commercial 15-needle machine—and purchased the EOC07 as a dedicated embroidery machine for everyday use in my den, where handy, rather than my upstairs sewing room. AT A GLANCE • Biggest draw: Outstanding value for the price. • Biggest surprise: Exceptionally thoughtful documentation and a machine that's simply enjoyable to use. • Bottom line: This machine doesn't have every premium feature available on expensive models, but it includes nearly everything that actually matters for producing beautiful embroidery. THINGS I LEARNED AFTER 30 DAYS These are the things I couldn't have known from the specifications: • The stitch quality consistently impressed me. • The machine is remarkably smooth and quiet. • Threading becomes second nature after only a few projects. • The automatic needle threader has been completely reliable. • Tension has been essentially "set it and forget it." • Registration has remained accurate, even after hoop changes. • The hoops snap into place much easier than I expected. • The large hoop completely changes the types of projects that become practical. • Navigating through previous stitches is excellent if you need to back up or advance within a design. • Once the thread path is understood, I can simply tie on a new spool instead of completely rethreading the machine. • The interface is so straightforward that it's surprisingly difficult to make a mistake. This machine simply gets out of your way and lets you embroider. SETUP & EASE OF USE The machine is dedicated to embroidery, so there's very little unnecessary complexity. Designs can be loaded by USB or, if desired, through Poolin's optional Wi-Fi connection. The package includes virtually everything needed to begin embroidering immediately. With my experience, I was stitching within about an hour of opening the box. Beginners will naturally take longer, but I found the documentation exceptionally thorough and well organized. One thing Poolin did particularly well was anticipating the questions new users are likely to have. I rarely found myself wondering, "Now what?" STITCH QUALITY & PERFORMANCE This was the first thing I evaluated. Using professionally digitized designs that hadn't been resized, the stitch quality was excellent from the beginning. The machine can go up to 860 stitches per minute and adjusts speed according to the type of stitch being sewn. After more than 650,000 stitches, I haven't experienced a single mechanical hiccup. THREADING The threading path is straightforward and easy to learn. The machine isn't especially finicky—but it does reward proper threading. Following the manual exactly eliminates most issues. I recommend using pre-wound bobbins and the included thread stand, particularly for beginners. One small tip I discovered: holding the thread taut while guiding it through the final threading path helps it seat correctly in the tension disks, especially if you are going to try the tie-on method. HOOP SIZES The hoop sizes were ultimately what convinced me to buy this machine. The largest hoop measures approximately 7.87" × 14.96", with a usable embroidery field of about 7.85" × 14.93". That opens the door to many projects that simply aren't practical on smaller machines. The included 7.87" square hoop has become my most-used hoop, while the two 5.5" hoops make it easy to keep multiple projects moving. TECHNICAL SUPPORT Technical support is available through email and Poolin's Facebook group. I recently reached out to this China-based company regarding a hoop that needed to be replaced. They responded within hours of my request, and the replacement hoop was in my hands just three days later. Their communication is fast, helpful, and dependable. DOWNSIDES No machine is perfect. These aren't deal breakers, but they are things I wish were different: • Reads only DST embroidery files. • No magnetic hoops currently available. • No third-party hoops currently available. • Additional hoops cannot be purchased from Poolin at this time. • I wish the touchscreen were larger. • I wish more screen thread color choices were available when correlating to DST colors. • I wish the embroidery field were a full 8 inches wide. • I'd like the option to disable the machine lights. • I'd also appreciate the ability to silence the beeps. WHO IS THIS MACHINE FOR? I think this machine is ideal for three groups: 1. Someone buying their first embroidery machine. 2. Someone wanting an affordable second machine dedicated to embroidery. 3. Someone who wants a large embroidery field without spending several times this price. I'm less convinced it's the right machine for someone planning to immediately launch a high-volume commercial embroidery business. It would, however, easily support a hobby business or light production. FINAL THOUGHTS The Poolin EOC07 focuses on doing the fundamentals extremely well without unnecessary complexity. After 30 days of daily use and more than 650,000 stitches, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable embroidery machine with a large hoop at an exceptional price.

I am completely new to embroidery machines, so I was a little nervous about getting started. I’m happy to say this machine has been much easier to learn than I expected. The EOC-07 is user-friendly and I was able to start creating projects without feeling overwhelmed. The customer support has been outstanding. Whenever I’ve had a question, they’ve responded quickly with clear, helpful answers. As a beginner, that has made all the difference and given me the confidence to keep learning. If you’re new to machine embroidery like I am, I highly recommend this machine. It’s easy to use, stitches beautifully, and comes with excellent customer support. I’m so glad I chose it!

BEST SUPPORT EVER!!! I had a Brother sewing/embroidery machine but was limited to 4” of embroidery. I decided to try the Poolin EOC07 and was amazed how easy it was to setup. I did have some tension issues at first but their support team is OUTSTANDING!!! They walked me through step by step and my machine is running great. So happy I purchased this machine!!

I’m a complete newbie to embroidery, so I don’t really have experience for comparison. That said, I’m a complete newbie to embroidery, and I LOVE this machine! Straight-forward, user-friendly, and when I needed help (after a problem I had caused), I reached out to their tech, Kevin Xu, over Facebook messenger. Wow did that man have patience with me!! He walked me through everything. He used pictures, videos, and so. much. patience. And then he checked up later to make sure it was still running right. Super impressed. As I said, no experience here, but I did a ton of research on machines before I purchased. Everything I read said to buy the biggest field within your budget. Well this one is HUGE. And for a fraction of what you’d get with other brands. Do I know the difference? Nope. Does it matter to me? Also nope. I’m LOVING this machine. It’s been so great. I will say, the one thing I’m struggling with is the InStitch website. Though, admittedly, I haven’t put a lot of energy into it because I just get my daughter to do it for me, hahaha. Bottom line, if you’re on the fence about this DO IT. No regrets!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience with Poolin and especially Kevin from their customer support team. I purchased the Poolin EOC07 as someone completely NEW to embroidery. I already run a small custom business, but embroidery was an entirely new world for me, so I knew there was going to be a learning curve. What I didn’t expect was the incredible amount of support I would receive along the way. From the very beginning, Kevin has been absolutely AMAZING. Any time I’ve had a question, made a beginner mistake, couldn’t figure out why something wasn’t stitching correctly, or simply needed someone to walk me through what I was doing, he has been patient, kind, responsive, and genuinely determined to help me figure it out. And when I say patient, I mean PATIENT. 😂 I have sent pictures, videos, questions, and probably every possible “what am I doing wrong?!” message a beginner could send. Kevin never made me feel like I was bothering him or that my questions were silly. Instead, he took the time to troubleshoot with me, explain what needed to be changed, recommend the right materials and stabilizers, and help me understand my machine instead of just giving me a quick answer and moving on. There were moments when I was frustrated and ready to blame the machine, only for Kevin to help me discover that something small needed to be adjusted or that I was simply missing a step. Every time, he stayed with me until we figured it out. That kind of customer service is incredibly hard to find. The EOC07 itself has been such an exciting addition to my business. I’m still learning and experimenting, but every successful project makes me more excited about what I’ll be able to create with it. Knowing that I have knowledgeable support available while I learn makes such a HUGE difference. A company can sell a great machine, but the people standing behind that machine are what truly determine the experience. Poolin absolutely knocked it out of the park with Kevin. He hasn’t just helped me troubleshoot—he has helped give me the confidence to keep learning instead of giving up when something doesn’t go perfectly. If you’re considering a Poolin embroidery machine but you’re nervous because you’re a beginner, DO IT. There is a learning curve with embroidery, but having support like this makes it so much less intimidating. Honestly, so far, so good! I was debating between the Poolin EOC 07 and the Brother PE900, and I'm so glad I decided to go with the Poolin. The machine has been extremely user-friendly, even while I'm still learning. Everything has been straightforward to set up and use, which made getting started much less intimidating. One thing that really stood out to me is the customer service. They have been absolutely amazing—quick to respond, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a great experience. I haven't had it for very long yet, but my first impressions have been excellent. If you're on the fence between this machine and the Brother PE900, I definitely recommend giving the Poolin EOC 07 a serious look. So far, I couldn't be happier with my decision!
