As the picture suggests I did eventually get this fountain installed. However, I had to visit my local pool store to buy two pvc pieces and spend some time removing one of my return jet fisheye housing things which was glued into place. When my pool was built (assuming back in the 80s) each of my five returns simply had a two inch pipe that sat flush with the pool wall. Each return was outfitted with one of those knock-in fisheye adapters that allow a fisheye and cover to be installed. The problem is that the diameter for the threads on that piece is an uncommon one. So don’t waste your time going to Home Depot. At my local pool store I was able to get two pieces to make this work. First, I got a 1.25 to 1.5 coupler which was unthreaded. I jammed the 1.25 side into the return while the 1.5 would receive the second piece. That was a two inch coupler half threaded. The non threaded part fit in the first part while the two inch threaded female accepted the fountain. This second part is the one you can see in the picture. So for me I had to work to make this fountain work. Since I have five returns I had to block off one return and reduce the flow of another one to get the right pressure for the fountain. In the end I think these fountains are certainly made for newer style pools but if you want to make it work the right parts are out there. ... show more

I just installed it on my above ground Bestway pool today, which was very simple. My son and I had a blast playing in the water that shoots out. You can make it as short or long as the pool and as high or low as you want the water flow to go. I have an intex sand pump that gives it a lot of pressure. I love it! 10/10 ... show more

The description states this fits for most in-ground and above ground pools. Well, I'm here to tell you that it does not fit my above ground pool Funsicle 15 foot round. The supplied adapter is too large by probably a half inch compared to what was supplied with the pool and is useless to me. For $33.00, I opted to find my own fix instead of the return process. I went to the hardware store and bough two PVC adapters. One to fit thru the original locking nut, and one to provide the 1 1/2" female threads to attach the unit to. Next problem. It is too heavy for the pool. I ended up using a length of scrap wire to tie to the fountain, and another to tie to the pool structure to support it to keep the unit from deforming the pool side. Although it does work once connected, it is not the prettiest thing to look at. Please state this exemption in the description. Not everyone would want to take the time to figure out and buy extra parts. Also state the dimensions of all the attaching parts to the pool. If I had that information up front, I would not be writing this review now. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This product is very high quality and works 100% as advertised. I can confirm this works perfectly with an Intex pool, and is super easy to install. The directions were super clear and install was less than 5 minutes. The only issue is that my fountain sagged a little bit from the pool wall, but I reinforced it with some nylon string. The fountain spray is strong, and it is nice that you can rotate the valve easily to turn off the fountain to circulate water in the pool when it is covered. This is my 7th season with an Intex pool, and this is a must have if you are in a hot climate like Texas. The cooling effect is very nice on 95 to 100 degree days when otherwise the pool would be too hot. Don’t listen to that 2 star review from Sabrina who doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Lastly, the sound of the fountain is super zen and relaxing and adds a whole new element to my backyard environment. Thanks Poolhacker! ... show more
