I just got this book today and already its been a huge help on my journey to maintaining my own pool. We just bought a house and are now first time pool owners. We were in the midst of interviewing pool services and after buying this book I was inspired to do my own pool maintenance. However during our pool service consulting process I learned my pool has extremely high levels of TDS & must be drained and refilled. I had more questions about this and emailed the author, and within 1 hour he got back to me. He let me give him a call and pick his brain, which was beyond helpful. This was an excellent purchase because not only do I get a great manual on helping me with pool maintainence, I recieved excellent professional advice and tips. Thank you John!

This book is a MUST HAVE!! We inherited this pool with the house 3 years ago-it's been a journey,not too smooth.The 1st year i couldnt wait to close it down,the 2nd year it was green and i was sold lots and lots and lots of chemicals from the local pool store,and still green..i couldnt sleep-finally i checked youtube and Amazon for books-i bought 5books and this is THE BEST! 2yrs later, different issues have come up.and this is my reference...today, I had to make a call to the author,John. He answered! I couldn'd believe it..and he gave me so much information..how can I have had sooo many pool people out, and John can figure it out in minutes..on the phone!...thank you John,for your time,your book, and your knowledge.God bless you!

The title says it all - Pool Maintenance Made Easy. This book will help you manage any issue you might have with maintaining your pool. The format and style of presenting the information makes it immediately accessible. It is very thorough. After my first quick read, I learned things I should have known years ago, and it changed my maintenance routines from day one. This is what I needed all along. And a bonus is that John is available on line if you need any clarification on anything in the book. Happy pool owner here.

I liked the way the writer broke the book down into sections. This made it very easy to understand. The writing in it is very well done with only two tiny grammar oversights which made the book easy to read and understand. He connected the dots between the chemicals and how they worked together to help me understand the synergy required to make my pool water a single body of healthy water for swimming. All the necessary information is easily found and where the subject needed to be revisited for further clarification it was without sounding redundant. I purchased other pool books that use a lit of pictures and charts and they were less informative than this one. I would recommend this book for any pool owner, new or old who wants to understand how to have a better more healthy pool. Also, i emailed the writer a question and he responded within 24 hours with a very nice email and through explanation. After reading this book, i went back and read the other books and had a better understanding of them also. I plan on rereading this book and keeping it as a reference tool.

After haphazardly taking care of a pool for 15 years (really watching my husband do it), I vowed I was going to learn all about pool care this summer so that we could take care of the pool the correct way. I really believed basic care of a pool was complicated - and the test kit with all its regents was overwhelming to me. (We were running water samples into the local pool store sporadically and trusting what they told us to do.) The book reads quickly, and it really does simplify the basic care of the pool. I have had a sparkling blue pool for a week now, and the pool testing kit no longer scares me. Now, I go into the pool store and tell them what I need. Another thing I like about the book is that it presents basic pool care first in the book, and that will probably be all that most people need. He breaks pool care down into seasons which will be useful. We never knew how to open and close the pool or how to treat it during the winter. But the book also explains how to deal with more complex issues like algae or staining or pool repairs. It will be a useful reference to have handy. This is the only pool care book I bought, and it is the only one I will need. I am thrilled that I will not spend my summer studying chemistry.

I just finished having a gunite/plaster pool installed a few weeks ago. With no knowledge of pool maintenance, and only a 15 minute tutorial from the pool company , I was still lost. I bought the book hoping it would clear some things up. The information is great while being easy to understand. I recommend taking a few notes or hi lighting while reading it. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email John. The first time I did, he responded with in 2 hours with the answers and then some. If your looking for a help with your pool , I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Good book, very resourceful. This book is very useful for 1st time pool owners. I did have a couple of questions about balancing the water levels, and I decided send an email to the author. He answered my questions in a timely manner. I really appreciate the help with my questions. Awesome book and customer service!!

The book is well written and was exactly as advertised. It has given mete confidence to have my first pool built. I had a question and emailed the author and he gave me very helpful advice. When you buy the book, you will have a friend in the pool industry on your side and willing to help you.
