The media could not be loaded. First let me say that I've never built a pond before and I completely winged it. This pond liner made the task very easy. Basically I dug a roughly 4 foot by 4 foot square hole in a spot in my yard that varies a little in depth from 12 to 18ish inches deep. I laid the pond liner out in the sun for a bit to make it more pliable, then dropped it into my hole. I then walked around on top of the liner to use my weight to push the liner down into the depth of the hole, filled it with water, placed some pavers around the edges to hold the liner in place and cut the liner to size with a box cutter / razor blade. I left about 4 to 6 inches of "lip" around the edges of the pond on which I placed bags of river rock to hide the liner but to leave a little extra liner in case it settled or stretched at all. So far it is holding up extremely well and I've had as many as 6 ducks swimming around in my little pond at one time. If I were to do this over the only change I'd make is that I might consider doing a double layer of this material in case one layer gets a hole in it but it does seem extremely sturdy. It's essentially extremely thick black plastic garbage bag material. Another possible use for this is that you could use it to kill grass or weeds in a section of your yard if you wanted to. It would also work well as a waterproofing barrier for leaky RVs or as patch material for tents or anything else that leaks and shouldn't leak.

The media could not be loaded. We have used different brands of pond liners over the years; some have been thinner that others, but the 20-mil liner is what we needed here because of the harder and rocky soil. The liner was easy to shape but I recommend spreading it out in the sun ahead of installation. It was a bit stiff, but we were able to mold it by folding as shown on videos. It was fairly light weight, the black color works well for some of our fish to hide, we added some white pebbles to help with finding darker fish and it give the pond a nice look. It was easy to trim and once heated up easy to shape. The fit was great, we were able to cut it down, they do provide various diameter liners and all at a real good pricing.

It was the thickest pond liner I’ve ever bought! And a great price! And it was plenty big we had to trim it. . I still need to buy some pea gravel to help hide the liner. And I need to keep running my fountain to filter out some of the rust out of my water. It will settle out in a couple of days.

Bought for our above ground turtle pond. I agree with other reviews that it is very stiff and hard to move around. Leaving it out in the sun did help some. It is holding up very well. The pond is made with cinderblocks and this liner and is approximately 350 gallons.

If you are looking thru hundreds of liners and can’t choose one. This one is very good! Really thick! But still very pliable. I’m not using it as a pond liner. Awesome moisture barrier.

This is working for what I needed, but isn't the same quality of the old piece I had. The old piece is similar to inner tube material and this is thinner and stiffer and not as easy to lay.

I bought this liner like 2years ago in my outdoor pond. Put it in (not professionally BTW, lol). Its STILL leak proof. Been thru a few hurricanes. Me and my three young boys get in it and splash around 1-2 times a week. Its got fish in it that all look healthy too. Just trying to say its a good liner. Maybe not if youre doing lots of boulder under water, it tells you its not as thick as other competitors. But I didn't want to spend 400$ on a liner, haha.
