Description

With over 25 years of industry experience and proven results in the field, Airmax is the most trusted name among pond and lake owners. Airmax, Inc., is the industry leader in pond and lake management, producing unrivaled fountain and diffused aeration systems and natural water treatments. We are an American company built from a passion for improving how pond owners care for their ponds. Airmax has developed and engineered several solutions ranging from powerful, quiet, efficient aeration systems to natural water treatments and conditioners for ponds, lakes, and water gardens. Simply apply PondClear directly from the container, pouring along several spots on your shoreline. Apply a half gallon per quarter acre every two weeks when water temperatures are above 50°F. Airmax PondClear is an all-natural, beneficial bacteria blend designed to remove excess nutrients and eliminate noxious odors. PondClear naturally improves water clarity by consuming suspended organics and converting them into an odorless gas that safely escapes unnoticed out of the water column. Results in as little as 2-4 weeks. PondClear beneficial bacteria work immediately to digest organic debris that causes cloudy water, leaving you with a clean, clear ecosystem. PondClear is developed and made in the USA. PondClear liquid formula is a special blend of highly concentrated beneficial bacteria designed to promote a clean and balanced ecosystem. Noticeable improvement in water clarity in just a few weeks after your first application. Water treated with PondClear may be used for recreation, fishing, and other activities immediately after treatment. Safe for recreational ponds, horses, livestock, birds, pets, fish, wildlife, and the environment. How PondClear Works Water clarity problems are caused by rotting vegetation, leaves, twigs, and fish waste that have accumulated in your pond. PondClear liquid formula is a special blend of highly concentrated beneficial bacteria designed to promote a clean and balanced ecosystem. PondClear works by consuming suspended organics and converting them into an odorless gas that safely escapes unnoticed out of the water column. How to Apply Apply every two weeks when water temperatures are above 50°F. Apply a half gallon per quarter acre pond or lake. In just a few weeks after your first application, you will begin to see a noticeable difference in water clarity. When to Apply Shake well before use. Apply directly out of the container. PondClear works best when poured in several spots along the shoreline. Restrictions How are PondClear packets different than the liquid formulation? PondClear is available in convenient water-soluble packets (WSP) which make treating ponds a breeze. There's no need to cut, tear, scoop or pour PondClear, just throw the packets in your pond and let your water do the rest. In addition to the powerful probiotic bacteria strains, PondClear packets are formulated with a maintenance dose of EcoBoost PRx, a natural phosphate binder ensuring long-lasting water clarity. Pond owners looking to try PondClear for the first time or customers on a budget can take advantage of our PondClear Liquid Gallon. Liquid PondClear contains the same powerful beneficial bacteria and enzymes and is more cost-effective, but it does not bind phosphates. Can I just do one application of PondClear? Just like vitamins, consistent use over time will provide the most benefit. Natural decomposition, seasonal changes, and storm runoff will continue to affect your pond. Regular beneficial bacteria treatments using PondClear should continue, as well. In addition, PondClear natural bacteria and enzymes are developed for optimal results utilizing the listed dosage rate, and using the whole gallon at one time will not achieve the results you’re looking for. How can I tell if PondClear is working? Measuring progress in a large body of water can take a lot of work. While most customers see results in 2-4 weeks, it’s essential to remember that murky water teeming with suspended organics did not happen overnight, and beneficial bacteria treatments will take time. We recommend doing a jar test to see progress truly. It’s simple to do. Take a clear glass jar, dunk it into your pond, fill it with water, cap it, and keep it in the dark. Repeat with a new jar every two weeks throughout the treatment period. Compare results. Suppose you see a lot of sediment on the bottom of your jars. In that case, your pond may have a clay bottom with turbid, murky water caused by sediment, not organic debris. Can PondClear be used with other water treatments? Yes, we recommend a proactive approach to pond management. Use PondClear in combination with Airmax EcoBoost PRx, MuckAway and Pond Dye to keep your pond looking great. EcoBoost PRx is designed to bind phosphates quickly, safely, and effectively, making them unusable as a food source for plant growth. MuckAway is the Original Muck Reducer leading the industry as the most effective and proven solution for muck reduction. MuckAway is formulated with specialized beneficial bacteria that work from the bottom up, digesting and eliminating several inches of pond muck each month. You can also further enhance the look of your pond by adding Airmax Pond Dye. Pond dye beautifies your pond while providing fish shade and protection from the sun and predators, such as herons and other wildlife. Does PondClear work without aeration? Yes, PondClear works in ponds and lakes with or without aeration. However, the aerobic bacteria found in PondClear require oxygen. For best results, we recommend using aeration to create an oxygen-rich environment, giving the beneficial bacteria a performance boost. Can I use PondClear in a small pond, water garden, or koi pond? PondClear is designed for use in large ponds and lakes, however, many pond owners have successfully used PondClear to treat their small ponds and water gardens. It's important to talk with a pond expert to get the proper dosage for water gardens, koi ponds, water features, and even aquaponic applications. Will PondClear kill algae? PondClear is not an algaecide, and it will not kill algae in your pond or lake. PondClear contains bacteria that consumes suspended organics and excessive nutrients, removing the fuel that contributes to excessive algae growth. If you're looking for an algaecide, however, consider Airmax Algae Defense, a fast-acting, liquid pond algaecide that controls a broad spectrum of algae. PondClear contains beneficial bacteria formulated to promote a clean and balanced ecosystem.

  • A lot of variables.....but we now have a blue pond again!
Flavor Name: PondClear Packets Size: 12 Packets
After the TX drought last summer we lost nearly half of our pond to evaporation. My husband decided he was going to use our well pump to start replenishing the pond....to which I was extremely hesitant to do given the heavy metals and hardness of our water. Needless to say, I lost that battle. Fast forward 24 hrs and our depleted blue pond is now a sad, shallow, murky mess. 😭 We gave it a couple months to see if it would settle out....no dice. So I went on the hunt for products. I landed on this product and the day it came in (first picture) I walked the perimeter of the pond and threw all of the packets out towards the middle except four. We waited a few weeks and still...nothing. I let my boys throw out the remaining four packets, and given their mighty 4- and 5-yr old strength, most landed, at best, 3 feet in from the shoreline. Low and behold, a few days later, I walked out there and could not believe what mine eyes were seeing; our geourgeous blue pond was back! There were a few other variables in the mix, but whether it was solely the use of ALL of the packets or a combo of the other environmental factors, it worked. We got a little rain, but nowhere near the downpours we had seen over the last few months which did nothing for the clarity/color; it had been getting consistently warmer, but never dropped below 50 degrees from the time I threw in the first packets. Whatever happened, I don't care because I have my pond back and now my tears are ones of joy 🥹🐢 Not going to lie, I bawked a bit at the price of these things, but probably would have paid the same amount, or more, hiring a consultant to come out and treat our pond professionally (and prob would have sold us a bunch or crap we didn't need). All-in-all, I'd say paying <$100 is well worth the restored serenity and peace. Now to go tackle those hideous weeds and get another load of 'beach' sand for my little diggers 🫡✌️🦖🦕 ... show more

  • fixed unknown cloudiness issue in 10 days.....!!!
Flavor Name: PondClear Packets Size: 12 Packets
I am just stunned beyond belief with this product combined with EcoBoost. I have been battling an unknown pond problem for 9 months and bought these two as yet another "can't hurt, why not, what do I have to lose other than more money" disheartened stab at a solution. Took 10 days to fix it. About 9 months ago the pond lost it's sparkle, the water wasn't quite as clear, the sun didn't reflect on it. As months went by it then became sorta cloudy, then really cloudy and I could no longer see the bottom. Then for the last 4 months I've seen lots of particles floating in the water. Testing the water always showed it was fine. I did a water change....4 times! each time taking it down further thinking I hadn't changed enough of the water and then incurring not only high water bills, but the cost of the chemicals and bacteria to make the water safe. Each time, the particles and cloudiness came back within days. I then thought my UV system must be on the fritz and that it was little algae particles. So I spent close to $1,000 getting all new bulbs, sleeves, gaskets and ballast. It had no effect. I then contacted a pond company who told me I needed more circulation and aeration. I bought a new external pump and shot that water into the air to both circulate and aerate. No improvement. I've tried Amquel Pond, Seachem Prime, API Pondcare, countless flocculants, liquid bacteria, barley straw, polishing cloths and more in quantities that were massive. Nothing cleared the water and got rid of the floating particles. The water wasn't full of algae, this was not a green issue. The floating particles were actually brown and visible to the naked eye. I got this product along with EcoBoost simply because the manufacturer recommended it and at this point in the game I was willing to try anything. I followed the directions and put it in. I turned off my UV for 4 full days. I watched and examined every day and saw nothing till day 10. On day 10 I wasn't sure if there was a slight improvement or not. It had rained heavy and I thought that might have done something. But by day 11 there was no mistaking it.....it was clearing! By day 12 I could see the bottom again! It is now day 14 and I can barely see any of those particles floating in the water. I do not know if it was the bacteria or Eco Boost that fixed my issue, I still couldn't tell you what my issue was. This is my first time using bacteria in a packet, I've used multiple brands of liquid bacteria. But I am stunned, happy, shocked, and all of that to have my pond back again the way it was. User for life....! I even made a reminder on my calendar for every 2 weeks (how often you use this) so I'll never have this issue again. ... show more
