Description

Immediate Strength Development This fast-curing automotive window glue boasts exceptional bonding power. One application of the glass adhesive glue is all it takes for permanent weather-resistant protection. From windshield and glass sealer to RV window sealant, this compound can do it all. Directions for Use: - Detach wipers and accents, then use a utility knife to slice through the current urethane sealer - Remove existing glass with care, and carefully clean debris from all surfaces - Align and dry set the new glass using tape strips for positioning. Once marked, remove the windshield - Remove the majority of the old car glass adhesive from the pinch-weld, leaving only a small layer - Apply single-step primer to any bare metal and conduct any required abrasive cleaning - Clean the interior surface where contact will be made with windshield and glass sealant - Apply a thin layer of primer around the edge and let dry - Cut the applicator tip on the windshield leak sealant to desired size - Directly apply this windshield mount adhesive over the old auto window sealant - Position the glass using the tape markings, and press into place to complete contact - Squeeze out extra urethane windshield adhesive, or fill voids if necessary - Remove the tape alignment strips, reattach moldings, wipers, and other accents - Finally, clean up any excess windshield urethane adhesive To use without primer, ensure the bonding surface is free from contamination prior to application of the car windshield sealant. The glass must also be pre-cleaned with a non-antistatic glass cleaner. Additional Instructions: Designed for use at an ambient temperature of 42-95 F. Place the car windshield adhesive in a plastic bag and submerge it in hot water before use for best results.

  • Works Great!
Recently picked up a 2007 Audi A4 for my daughter and the window was completely delaminated from the outer (black) part of the cloth top. I used this and so far it has worked great. I will try to follow up after a few months. A couple of tips: (1) Make sure you get all the old adhesive off the glass. I used a razor blade followed up by acetone. (2) I used blue painters tape on the window as a guide to know where to put the adhesive and to make removal of any excess easier. (3) Where gloves (they give you a pair) as this stuff is not easy to get off and it you use acetone it's pretty harsh on your skin. (4) I found the opening that was cut in the tube worked great to lay down a nice 1/8" bead and it was easy to control using a standard caulk gun. (5) Get suction type clamps and small boards (paint sticks or something similar work good) to keep even pressure on the bonded area. (6) Use pillows or a beach ball to put pressure upwards on the window. Take your time. I've used the 3M stuff before and this seems as good or better and it arrived much faster than the 3M which is why I gave it a try. ... show more

  • Worked great
You have to heat this up (at least to 100 degrees) if your not useing an eletric chalk gun. Went on smooth and set in 24hrs. Don't get it on yourself. But if you do zep cherry bomb hand cleaner will remove it.

  • Fast curing?
Adhesive worked fine but fast curing not so much. I’ve used fast curing that was done in two hours. This stuff was overnight in a heated garage!

  • Better hope you have good grip strength (used on 3rd gen 4runner)
This stuff worked great at gluing on my replacment quarter window but it is absolutely brutal to squeeze out honestly this the only adhesive that's made want to by the ryobi auto caulk gun lol

  • Worked good for me !
Simple to read directions. Followed the directions and everything worked out well. Took alot of grip strength to get it out of the tube. Be sure to have something to press against the glass to hold it tight while it cures. would buy again if I ever need to replace another window.

  • Extremely thick quality.
This stuff is strong. It is so thick, it broke my caulking gun. However, once the product dried, it was ultra flexible and tough. I am very impressed.

  • Works After Trial and Error
Be sure to wear the gloves provided, as it will stain your hands badly otherwise. I was having an absolutely awful time getting it to come out of the tube. Squeezing with all my strength (I'm a 210lb man) absolutely nothing would come out. So much so, I broke my caulk gun. Had to go buy another caulk gun for $5. Then, put the tube in a baggie and ran water as hot as my sink would allow over it then submerged it in hot water for about 20 minutes. After that, it still took a lot of strength but I was able to get it to come out enough to glue my windshield (small vent window) I can't imagine applying enough for a full windshield. ... show more
