is a great rope, very well made. i have yet to figure out how to unwind one of these bundles without creating a twisted knotted pile at the end. But i'll get it one of these days. great product. Also after reading other reviews, i have looked my entire rope up and down with a magnifying glass and have found a defect. One single thread out of place on any rope i use and no longer will i trust it. Needless to say, i go thru like 500ft of rope setting up a tent. This rope is actually spectacular. as with any static poly rope - it will be a bit more stiff than nylon rope. However cinching and securing a knot presents no difficulty even directly out of the box. Keep in mind we arent tying shoe strings here. Great rope, will buy it again. ... show more

There are lots of products that lend themselves to bargain shopping, climbing rope are parachutes are worth paying a little more for. That said, the rope appears to be of sufficient strength and quality to hang a swing in the back yard or to keep for emergency towing, or any number of uses other than rappelling. As a top rope climbing rope it's a little stiff, but would be fine. I don't plan on using it as a climbing rope or for rappelling, but it's good enough and cheap enough that I'm ordering another 150 feet. ... show more
