I purchased this to complement my bookshelf speakers of my sound system. Not having a center channel made it quite difficult to hear voices clearly. Install was a breeze, and the option to mount on the wall, as well as having a flat bottom to sit on a shelf was a huge plus. I actually have mine sitting on top of my Sony receiver, and it is almost the same width so it fits perfectly. The sound is crisp with not distortion, even at higher volumes.
