Works amazing! I had a few larger limbs that were leaning on my house. I used a few sections of pole to make quick work of cutting the branches. Some of them were 4-5 inches diameter and it cut right through it. It does have a spare blade and a pruning head as well. I have not used the pruner. Also you can use the blade head as a hand saw as well. No clue how long it will actually last but for the few times that I need it, very well worth the cost. I will be using the Saw head to help clear my local mountain bike trails as well. Highly suggest if your looking for a cheap pole saw to clear a few limbs

Earlier this year I had a tree service company remove several trees and trim several others. I asked the company where they got their adjustable pole saw and they lead me to this product on Amazon. I have since used it several times (saw attachment only, have not used the pruning shear attachment) and it works great. Takes a few times to learn how to operate it effectively (cut speed and stroke) especially at max length. Can become a little heavy at max length as the tubes are thick and of high quality. So far, I have used this saw for branches up to 3-4 inches in diameter. For me, a must have for homeowners and a definite cost effective solution to do it yourself tree trimming for hard to reach branches.

If you have taller trees this will definitely do the job. I live in the Midwest and we have a lot of trees on our property. Let’s face it, professional tree trimmers can get expensive and in today’s economy we gotta do more for ourselves. The first day I received this I went to work. The poles are stable and easy to grip, for various heights you simple screw on another length of pole. The saw blades are sharp and get the job done fast. The main saw has a handle so you can you use it for short tight cuts as well. My only point is that you need to screw the poles together tightly or they loosen up while using. I had zero regrets about this purchase and I can get pretty critical when it comes to tools.

This pole saw is pretty impressive. It is solid and comes with extra saw blade and both fixed blade and scissor blade ends. It has multiple sections that screw together with robust threaded connectors. It comes with a pair of cloth gloves, which are typical garden store gloves, and a pretty decent zippered canvas bag. The bag is not super heavy duty, but more than adequate for storage. I used it with all but two sections for some pruning and it was not too unwieldy. For higher branches, I used it with all but one section, so around 24’ long, and with my reach, probably more like 28’. At that length, it was kind of a bear to get vertical, a real workout, but not too hard to handle once it was standing upright. It does flex a bit, but that’s to be expected, and not so much as to be a problem. I only used the scissor pruner where you pull the string to get it to cut. The mechanism was plenty rugged and I was able to cut some branches up to about 1” thick. We used this to open up a bit where our view was getting blocked and are very satisfied. It’s really hard, and expensive, to get someone out to do high pruning, so this tool is well worth the investment.

The blade works well, due to the thickness, it doesn't bend or flex. Easy for me to reach limbs higher up. I found it easy to swap out the trimming attachments, which are well made. The quality is amazing, at such a great price. I found it very easy to use.

UPDATE! summer is over and I have used this so many times and it is awesome, yep takes some time to hone the skill of cutting higher branches, but it has gone through any wood i wanted too.. oak took a little longer but it went through, I am on my second blade but so worth it for the amount of times I used it, ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................Original post: Wow, ok so first off i have been cutting mostly pine and most were dead branches, so as i went higher the branches were still pretty much alive and it cuts easily through it. now i haven't tried it on oak or anything like that, i can tell you start off low.. up to 16 ft. get the hang of it and then work your way up with each additional pole, it does get harder as the pole gets longer, but after a week i have it down pretty good..overall it accomplished what i wanted.. now i have to pick up all the cuttings. the highest i have used it was was 24 ft.. it is flimsy and hard to control.. but in time i have a feeling i will get the touch for it.
