Tried a few other cheaper sticks, this one had the most solid feel at under $50. The tip could be softer. I play about an hour everyday at work and after a month or two it’s started to chip near the joint, not pleased with that but for under $50 it’s a solid feeling stick w/ exceptional play.

Let me start of by saying I am for the most part a beginner player but I can still hold my own with friends that have been playing for years. This cue is great. I have a friend that ordered another high end stick from a different manufacturer and his end fell off probable after the 10th game. This viper stick is still holding strong 100 games in. Also let it be known I don’t break with this cue. Maybe that’s why his failed but either way I highly recommend. For the money this stick is the best out there. Hope this review helps ... show more

The viper diamond cue I bought came Totally straight, smooth at the joint, no defects at all. Guess I was lucky. Feels solid when hitting the cue, looks nice, very much worth the $41 I paid. I recommend it!

I've ordered a bunch of pool sticks here on Amazon, nothing too expensive, and this is the nicest one. Looks sharp and has a good feel to it. The unvarnished thinner end slides easily thru your hand during a shot. Sometimes the varnished ones stick to my fingers, but I haven't need any powder with this stick. The tip on this stick was ready to use right away. I'm only a beginner/casual player and didn't think the stick would matter much, but I prefer using this one whenever I practice or play with friends and neighbors. ... show more

Not bad for economy stick...i would say kick in a little more and get a good starter stick. It will be around 150 but it will show you reason to buy higher. Good until player improvement
