The media could not be loaded. The product itself is fine, it desperately needs better documentation though. Set the temperature delta (d) depending how strict you want your selected temperature maintained. For example, mine is set to 61 with a 4 degree delta, so it will come on at 65 degrees and continue working until it reaches 61, and cycle from there. ... show more

    • A refrigeration company that does not know how to ship refrigeration?
I was frustrated to receive my product when I found out they had no markings on the box about staying compressor up. Anyone in refrigeration knows a compressor must stay right side up. My chiller was delivered and left with the compressor upsidedown. You can let your chiller sit right side up for 24hours before starting it and this should get all the oil in the compressor back where it should go. Past that, I let mine sit and ended up having to test it right after because of their ignorance. Thankfully my compressor was not ruined and I was able to get it working. I am using mine for and axolotl tank. It is cooling a 40 gallon to 61-65. You will have to get something to reduce the water pressure so you do not stress out your axolotl. If not for the companies refrigeration ignorance, I'd give them a better review. ... show more

This is the first summer since getting our axolotls and their tank was becoming dangerously hot. Ice packs weren’t bringing the temp down enough and it’s only the beginning of June, so we took the investment to help our babies and save our time/energy. It took a couple hours to go from 73 degrees down to 60, now it’s keeping it a perfect temp and our axolotls are happy again! Also, it’s not too loud at all. ... show more

    • Pay attention to connections
First of all the chiller works fine, cools water great, quiet, doesn't get hot and keeps the water nice and cool at 62 degrees. Its very simple to connect and I ensured I used the supplied washers at the cooler connectors so no leaks. After plugging it in we adjusted the temp gradually for about 2 hours easing it down. Later that evening,(after hearing this repetitive chirp) we checked in on it only to find it had pumped nearly 40 gallons of water out onto the bedroom floor. Apparently the fitting in the top of the pump is not securely installed so it blew out and flooded the room...pay attention, hard to get a good heavy shop vac or a company to suck the water up at midnight ... show more

Great customer service. Very quick in response. However, cooling capacity is suboptimal. I was using for 40G tank but water temp is just slightly lower (or sometimes higher!) than room temp. Of course it is cheaper than other manufacturer, but I think we have to pay more for reliance.

    • it short circuited - something exploded inside. VERY DISAPPOINTING
I've let it rest for 2 days after receiving it, then today I decided to try it out. Everything was perfectly plugged, and yet after a few minutes just trying to set up the temperature I heard a bang inside the chiller and started smelling burned plastic or something, AND even shut off my power in my house cause it short circuited (even tho i have a fail safe on my outlet). I waited for this so long and I'm now upset that I have to throw this away. Ain't gonna buy from this seller no more. sadly.. Btw, this item needs better manuals / documentation cause I had to watch videos to understand how this thing works. The manual that comes with it is only a quick step tutorial, but no details about how it actually works. Very disappointing. ... show more

Don't buy The instructions I got with the chiller don't match the unit and the company dose not get back to you on how to fix it and the biggest problem I have is it waits for the temperature to go 10° above the setting to kick back on I would like to know how to adjust that maybe with in 2° so not to shock my axolotls with a huge temperature spick other than that works perfect in my 40 gallon breeder tank cools the water from 72 to 62 in about 15 to 20 minutes but that 10° wait is a bit to long for that fast of cooling ... show more
