Got it on a sale and I’ll put it like this. I upgraded from a 1660 super and to me it looks phenomenal, but if you have anything more recent than a 3050 I’d recommend going for the 16gb variant. Otherwise, card looks great and runs my games (modded Skyrim VR, Cyberpunk, Counter Strike) at high settings in 1080p. Not very loud either, ... show more

I had high hopes for this and it's already delivering. I purchased this because I plan to move my desktop into my Ram Promaster to game on the house batteries. While gaming it uses up to 150 watts with my 3440 x 1440p ultrawide monitor. The game I'm using as a reference is Final Fantasy XVI. While using the 2080 Super I had to set the settings to Low with Legacy DLSS in order to maintain a 60+ fps. With this card I'm able to play with High Settings on my ultrawide monitor at 60+ FPS. The game looks great and I'm already more than happy with the buy. Installation was easy. Just remove the old card, put this one in. Since I was already using a NVIDIA card prior the Nvidia software immediately began downloading and installing the new drivers. Once it finished it told me to reboot so I accepted and it's worked great. I went with the 16GB since almost all games use over 8GB of memory. One thing I noticed before was that textures would render at a much slower speed which caused them to look like puddy until my 2080 Super caught up. Have not seen that happen since installing this. I'm not sure if that's the memory 16gb vs 8gb or the processing speed being nearly double but I'm glad to see that's been taken care of as well. I know people crap on the 50xx series cards because they're not generally accepted as an upgrade compared to past cards but the main attraction for this for me was the power consumption and the performance it delivers at that lower power consumption plus the budget friendly cost is something that can't be beat. ... show more

This gpu run well. I use it mainly for Architectural design software, and the 3D performance is much improved. The ray tracing get completed in about 30 mins vs 3 hrs with the old Quadro M4000

    • Trying to download the driver breaks your computer

Got this to upgrade my old Rtx 3060. No matter what I did the driver for this would not install, and any attempt would just make my screen go black, sometimes shutting down my computer after a while, sometimes it would stay on but with a black screen until I shut it down with the physical power button. Tried to download and install it multiple ways, uninstalled the old driver with a specific program, started the computer in safe mode. Nothing worked. A bit of digging on the internet showed I am not the only one to have this exact problem, and the company has not been forthcoming with any plans to fix the issue. Some people have had luck by changing their PCIE settings in bios back a generation, but that didn’t work for everyone, including me. So I paid a lot of money for nothing. I double checked all of my other hardware and software, everything is listed as compatible. Obviously, I’ve returned this as it is too expensive to have to just hope that the company will one day send out a patch to fix a problem they don’t think their product has.
