I play games and edit videos for YouTube. I wanted to upgrade my graphics card, but didn't want to overhaul my whole system as i have a 750w psu. Previously, i had a 3080. For those in similar situations as me, i find 750w is perfect. Keep in mind, you will need to get an extra cable if you are using an sfx 750w psu like i am. i use the corsair gen 5 12vhpwr 600w cable and have had no problems for a few months now. I pair this 4090 with a 5950x cpu. At 1440p, i get high framerates (130+) on graphic intensive games like ARK survival evolved. Additionally, my temps are low (45 degrees) which makes for a very quiet gpu. I have yet to fame at 4k, but the quiet noise paired with way higher fps already makes it worth it for me. No game has struggled whatsoever. The main usage for me is editing. As for video editing, i use davinci resolve and render times are unbelievably fast. I notice an increase in timeline performance. The price is high, but this is definitely not just a consumer level product. Keep in mind what your own uses will be. ... show more

I'm currently running Folding@home and it is 45°C with an 80% GPU load and the fans are running at 30%. Very quiet! When I initially installed it the fans were running too fast and too loud so I adjusted a setting in my motherboard so the fan speed was based on the GPU temperature. (I have an ancient MSI X299 TOMAHAWK motherboard.) I just started to play Cyberpunk 2077 again and because I installed a ton of mods, my old 2080 card was straining badly in the past. Not so with the 4090 which is running without strain. I ran some bitcoin address mining tests and this card is over 5 times as fast as my 2080! ... show more

I bought this GEFORCE RTX4090 (Verto - PNY) knowing that it was used. I did save some money versus buying a brand new one; I just could not get myself to spend the money for a new unit. The vendor sent the unit in its original packaging within a box. The product was sent by FedEx and arrived safely. All necessary cables were provided. Manuals were also included. I attached the RTX4090 to a DEG1 eGPU dock from Minisforum. I also connected a 1kW ASUS TUF power supply to the dock. The RTX4090 came to life without any issues.; so far so good. FYI, I don't consider myself a computer expert. I do enjoy running simulations and developing LLM for various scientific applications. I ran quite a few tests on the card. Here is a summary from some of the results: I ran FurMark, 3DMark (the free version) and GPU-Z and all gave very good results. I did have to adjust power setting to get to full bandwidth. The three fans on the RTX4090 came on during the tests. The 3DMark test produced graphics quality that was truly phenomenal. I put together a PowerShell script that uses CUDA's deviceQuery. The test confirmed that the RTX4090 is fully operational. A matrix multiplication script produced a great scaling curve. The RTX4090 was flexing exactly as it should. The jump from a size of 4096 to a size of 8192 showed near-linear acceleration, which means the Oculink and memory bandwidth were humming in sync. I got close to 12,000 GFLOPS for the 8192 size matrices. So, I am happy with the purchase and the vendor who offered it. ... show more

Excellent card so far. Bought and Shipped from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller. Bought at MSRP prices. I won't belabor the point but the card is a beast. Coming from a 3080ti it feels like a big step up, it runs 15c cooler than the 3080ti and pretty much 1/3 to doubles my FPS in games. The games are Battlefield 1, Battlefield 5, Battlefield 2042, Warzone 2, and my favorite survival game Day Z. At idle it runs 38c with no fans on the card running and completely silent, and gaming it tops at 64-65c with fans running at 1200rpm/55% and it's still quiet. Time Spy gives me a 35,660 graphics score. Nice. I will update this review if my experience changes. ... show more

Purchased as an upgrade from a PNY 3090, and the performance is exactly as expected. Games look beautiful and run smoothly. I'm driving a 4k (2160p) 165Hz monitor via DisplayPort, and the 4090 doesn't even sweat while pushing 200+ frames. Be warned that the 4090 is a massive card, and will not fit in many "5" size mid-tower cases (35-40L) but fit nicely in my NZXT H7. I was able to squeeze it into my H510 case for testing by removing the front fans and bracket. After about 2 months of limited use, the GPU stopped functioning and caused power faults in my PSU when plugged in. I reached out to PNY via their support URL, and was immediately contacted via email with a request for photos of the failed GPU and system build information. Upon response, PNY issued a RMA and replaced the failed GPU at no charge. I have trusted PNY for RAM, SSD, and SD cards and had never experienced a failure before, and based on their exceptional customer service with this issue I will continue buying from them. ... show more

I will never buy anything from PNY again after the horrible customer service situation I've dealt with. I purchased the 4090 and then the video card stopped working two years and eight months into its operation I tried to do a warranty claim and then PNY would not honor the 3 year warranty. PNY said my serial number sticker was not the correct type of sticker, which was the only serial number sticker that came on the device. I contacted Amazon to help me out and to assist me to communicate with PNY. PNY would not budge. I then told them that I was about to start legal action in the situation and PNY didn't care at all. They then ceased all communication and stone-walled me. Then Amazon came to the rescue. I love Amazon. I will use Amazon for the rest of my life! But now I am never ever going to buy anything from PNY ever again. Not even a thumb drive. Especially not something that's this expensive and important. Don't buy PNY products! ... show more
