Description

Pneumatic Plus PPF series particulate filters remove harmful oil/water condensate, pipe scale, dirt and rust from your compressed air system. This prevents corrosive damage to compressed air equipment and finished products. Typically, particulate filters are installed upstream of regulators to prevent valve failure. They are also used as pre-filters to oil removing and coalescing filters to insure high efficiency and long element life in applications such as paint spraying, instrumentation and pharmaceuticals. Each filter is equipped with a highly efficient baffling system for maximum bulk liquid and dirt particle removal. The Pneumatic Plus heavy-duty, cleanable porous plastic element removes fine particles. Particle removal can be tailored to specific needs with either the 40 or 5 micron element. An optional 2 micron absolute pleated fiber element is also offered for extra-fine particle removal. The Pneumatic Plus 2 micron absolute element is a high efficiency filter element with solid particulate removal in the 90% efficiency range down to . 28 microns. The Beta efficiency rating is 99. 5%. When used as a pre-filter to a coalescing filter, it will increase the life of the coalescing element by 4 to 6 times. Pneumatic Plus offers quality Air Preparation Units for various pneumatic applications. PPR Series Regulators offer stable air flow with locking adjustment knob to prevent accidental setting changes. PPR Modular Series Regulators can connect to PPF Modular Series Air Filters & PPL Modular Series Air Lubricators using our brackets to form a fully functional FRL unit. PPF Series Filters and PPL Series Lubricators are available for purchase along with other Pneumatic Plus Air Preparation Units.

  • So far so good as airbrush filters
Size: 1/4" NPT
So far so good, bought these to keep water and possible oil out of my airbrush line from a 30 gal oiled compressor. I have the 1/2 post air compressor and the 1/4 at the terminal end. Had to purchase 1/2 in to 1/4 in reducer separately for the half inch model. Posted a pic for size comparison since seller failed to do so for some reason. I’m not sure if this was the issue that others have been complaining about with leaking but the 1/2 leaked from the release valve at first but once it fully pressurized and the rubber seal on the bottom fully seated, it’s now air tight. I tested it out in ~70% humidity, the filter first in line air felt a little moist from the release valve, the second seems completely dry and the air from the brush is completely dry. So I would say definitely worth the purchase. Summer time will be the real test though, will update then if they under-perform ... show more

  • Works great with an aftercooler
Size: 1/4" NPT (High Flow)
The media could not be loaded. I used this in conjunction with a homemade compressor aftercooler and the result is incredible! So good, in fact, that I may have to purchase an automatic-draining unit because otherwise I have to stop what I'm doing and empty it constantly. It's completely full of water after 2-3 fill cycles. The idea here is to cool the air charge as quickly as possible, and as early as possible in the system. When you add an aftercooler and put the dryer between the cooler and tank, it helps to condense and remove the excess moisture long before it reaches the air hose. Since I've done this, I have ZERO moisture coming out of my air tools, and almost zero moisture draining out the bottom of the compressor tank. I have yet to run a paint gun on this setup, but will be doing so soon. For those wondering, the aftercooler setup is simple... a box fan, the largest cheapo transmission cooler I could find, a roll of 3/8 aluminum fuel line, some compression fittings, this dryer, and some creativity. ... show more

  • I don't know what to say. It is small that's for sure.
Size: 1/4" NPT
What I don't like is the fact that the bowl does not screw on. All it has is an O'ring that seals the bowl to the metal housing . I just got it today and to be fair have not installed it yet. I got it because it is just a device to filter out small particles and trap moisture from getting into my few air tools. I have Passche units with a regulator and gauge which don't have the plastic cover over the bowl yet the bowls on the Passche units for air brushes have a thick O'ring and the bowl screws in place. That to me seems much better built. Outside of the regulator and gauge the Passche units bowl is larger has the same 5 micron filter and a much better drain. It is also a metal housing . I'm not sure about the air flow ratings with the regulator wide open or if it's restrictive since this model I just got is designed for no air flow restriction. I can see this as an add on for an air brush if your compressor has a regulator or as an add on after and air brush regulator like the Badger or Passche . My compressor has a regulator and I always used it to control the pressure before the air brush regulator even though the bowl and unit are rated for 135 PSI Max , My compressor only puts out 100 PSI . Once I figure out what the flow is on the Passche unit model R-75 I may use it instead . Basically I just don't like the bowl sealed by a thin O'ring held in place via the gray plastic cover, the bowl is the only outward force to seal the O'ring . I did read a few reviews that mentioned air leaks. The bowls shield is a good idea just in case the bowl ruptures. Not sure I may return it . It looks very similar to the one Ingersoll Rand offers just costs less. ... show more

  • Works where others fail
Size: 1/4" NPT (High Flow)
This is a fantastic product. I have three air/oil collectors in various places along my dual tank compressor set up. One (this one) collecting moisture from the main tank where it connects to my auxiliary tank. I also have two others (different brands)- one on the exit from my AUX tank, and a smaller inline one at my sand blast cabinet. Before I added this, I never collected any moisture beyond a couple drops every few days. But now, this this really goes to work- it starts to fill up in about 6-7 days and I have to drain it. All the moisture that was clogging my sand blaster is now stopped by this.. Saving me lots of time, as I was having to take apart my blast nozzle and connected equipment and clean them every few days from the moisture clogs. If you’re serious about needing moisture out of your line, this is the right one to get. ... show more

  • Excellent Product
Size: 1/4" NPT
This air line filter is solid and well made. It's compact enough that I was able to easily install it inline on my DeWalt 30-gallon air compressor. Servicing the filter is a no brainer. It's perfect for occasional use of my air impact wrench, which requires 90 PSI. The unit comes with a steel bracket to use as an optional wall mount. Keep in mind that if you chose to use the wall mount, you will need an appropriate length whip hose between the filter and the air compressor. Depending on your setup, you may need other 1/4" adapters to complete the installation. This unit does not ship with any connecting adapters. ... show more

  • Works well, threads were poor
Size: 1/2" NPT
Works just fine as a pre filter for my system. I up sized to the 1/2 npt size to have plenty of capacity for water, this should hold close to a half cup. The threads were unusable on the outlet side, they were gritty, and tore up the thread sealant tape. The fitting only threaded in 2 turns before binding up. The inlet side was better, the fitting turned about 5 turns, and sealed up just fine. I took a NPT tap to the outlet, and got 2 more turns before the threads cleaned up, and all is well now. I would have expected this to be caught at the factory. The inlet cleaned up a little better with an extra half turn with the tap as well. ... show more

  • Good compainy
Size: 1/4" NPT
First one had a slow leak. I called them and the immediately sent me another one, it worked great. The7y are small light, hold 250 PSI, filter down to 5 micron, and works great. I installed it on my Jeep firewall to filter air going to my ARB locker. I highly recommend them.
