This is a well made collar, with soft padding on the inside, and a super secure and easy to use metal buckle. Sadly, the weight of the buckle feels like too much for our dog to lug around. Perhaps if it was made from a lighter metal, we would be happy to use it, but we don't want her to develop sore neck muscles from a heavy collar. Also, we worry that the thick padding might make her feel hot around her neck in warm weather. Presently, our dog wears a nylon collar, and as the nylon wears and breaks, the little fibers poke her neck and irritate her. So we got this collar in hopes of solving that problem. Also, she is extremely active, pulling hard on her leash, and grabbing her collar tags and pulling them off from the attached loops. We keep finding the bent loops, but have to keep reordering tags. We had hoped a new heavy duty tactical collar might work better for her. But we did not anticipate it weighing so much. The metal buckle/clasp on the collar is very well made and seems unbreakable. It is unusual but super easy to put on and take off, and will not accidentally come off because two points (one on the top, and one on the bottom) of the clasp need to be pressed at the same time. Just pressing one will not allow the collar to open. If we had a dog with a stronger neck, like a pitbull, then she would be wearing this collar proudly right now.

Honestly this is the best collar I've ever had and maybe ever seen in real life. I have an 80lb, highly reactive, very strong (obviously) german shepherd and I have full confidence in this collar to hold her. I always keep her on a harness because, if she sees a dog, she'll pull so hard that she'll damage her throat (one of the worst pieces of advice I've ever gotten from a veterinarian was "don't use a harness, use a collar so the pain in her neck will discourage her from pulling," went back to the vet a few months later and she had severe tracheal damage.. we changed vets). The reasons I got this collar are 1. backup if her harness breaks 2. for backpacking when I need to swap her pack harness for her sport harness. The padding is soft and it's wide, so it'll mitigate any damage on her trachea if she did pull. The clip is very nice, tactical style metal and lives up to how durable and sturdy they describe it as; i love it. The adjustment is super nice and easy because it feeds back into itself and doesn't leave a hanging piece that needs to be secured away. Overall, this is an outstanding collar

I am very happy with this dog collar. I ordered the XL size for my furry friend, and the stated size in the Amazon listing is accurate, 1.5” wide and a bit over 25” in circumference. Material seems robust and durable and it’s nicely padded. I do like the metal buckle over the more common plastic ones you normally see. Holds very well, and you need to squeeze both metal levers to unbuckle it. No fear of this coming undone should the collar get tangled in something. Color is a bright, vibrant red with reflective piping. I can wholeheartedly recommend this collar for your furry friends.

This is a fantastic collar. It fits my dog perfectly but it is very easy to adjust the size as needed. The locking/latch mechanism seems to be of much higher quality than those plastic buckle types that I've had in the past. I got the light gray color which will probably get dirty pretty quickly, however, I anticipate that it will clean up nicely in the washing machine.

I only make my dog wear a collar when we leave the house. That said, I put it on and take it off quite often. I love the pinch locking mechanism on this collar because it is so easy to use. No more fighting buckles. The collar is sturdy, and the reflective material conforms well to her.
