this product is easy to use and install. In a matter of 20 minutes I turned an old table lamp into a hanging lamp. Just take the old lamp shade off your old lamp (I sprayed painted my lamp shade a beautiful sunset orange) skew it to the hanging wire, hang the wire insert a light bulb, turn on the lamp and you are goo to go. LOVE IT!

This item appears to be well made and I like that it will accommodate a 100wt bulb (it was not indicated in the description) and just about any shade you like that has a "spider fitting" (mounting type). This will not work with a shade that has "UNO" or "clip on" type mounting. The "spider fitting" is the type that is toward the top of the shade and the screw from the lamp bracket goes through the little whole in the shade mounting and then you screw the top piece on to hold the shade in place. The cord is a bit heavy but I suppose that is to accommodate the 100wt bulb safely. I have not purchased a shade to use yet so I have not hung the item. I may edit my review once I have it hung.

Who knew these things existed?! It’s pricey, but I found the perfect large drum lampshade at Lowes and couldn’t use a regular hanging cord. This was exactly what I needed to fit around the 3-way metal structure. Looks great having over my reading chair.

Easy to install. Very durable. Well worth the price. The option of using the cup hook or the bishop hook and having both in the package made my day. My living room got a bit brighter with this. Maybe another one in my future.

These are fantastic. I have an under the bed drawer system so my side tables are more like shelves with no room for lamps. These swag lights are perfect! I can change shades from summer to winter for completely different looks! The lights are bright and perfect for night time reading. This design is brilliant!
