While this isn't hard to install, it is a bit odd it didn't come with instructions. Luckily for me, my old weather stripping had the same size track so I only needed to use the rubber seal. I found it hard to try and slip it into the track as it kept falling out a foot or so into the process. I then decided to use a small flat head screwdriver to push it into place along each side of the track. Slip one edge in and push the other edge in, that worked quite well and took about 15mins on each track for a total of 30min (7 foot door). Using liquid soap might have worked also, but I was afraid of also putting a hole into it so opted this was the safer method. This sits much lower than my previous weather stripping showing just how much I needed to replace it. Now this fully seals the floor and door so rain/snow will stay out!! Seems to be just as heavy as my previous weather stripping if not maybe a little better. I feel the O ring design should help keeps its shape much longer instead of going flat and then allowing weather in like my previous one. ... show more

Was kind of shocked that there weren't any instructions in the box, although I am an experienced handyman so that didn't stop me. I thought it was pretty easy assembling/installing it, except for the rubber wanted to fall out at first however when I got going putting the rubber in the T slot it eventually stayed. As far as length goes you can trip the aluminum down as needed easily so it will work for all doors that size and smaller. Once installed the weather strip did a great job at keeping the weather/elements out of my garage. I was in my garage during the day shut the door, had lights off and wasn't able to see out. Also tested it the other way around when it was dark outside, I turned the garage lights on then went outside to see if I could see any light coming from inside my garage and I could not! Now my garage is staying cleaner, and leaves are not able to come in along with small rodents! ... show more

Without the instructions, I made the mistake of not referring to the listing. If there was previous weather stripping, you can probably just feed the weatherstripping into your old track. Because I was guessing at how to install, the rubber ripped about two feet in. After reading the instruction in the listing I cut it off at the rip (which still left enough length), put some silicone lubricant in the track, and it slid in easily. The seal on our garage door was ripped and torn in a few places and was well overdue for an upgrade. I got this replacement and went to work opening the package. There are no instructions with this. Thankfully, when I pulled off the old one, I discovered that the track was exactly the same and was able to thread the new gasket onto the old track. Although I consider myself handy, the bottom of my garage door is not flat, and it would have been helpful if the instructions had provided some recommendations for this situation. I purchased some weatherstripping and plan to use it to level the bottom before attempting to install the product.
