This bench is easy to assemble. I don't have a lot of strength in my arms and I did it myself. The comfort level is okay with the seat cushion, but by adding a throw pillow behind my back makes it perfect. That way my back is supported and my feet touch the ground. I'm 5' 7" Love the overall look.

It's a beautiful bench, but I expect more from Plow and Hearth. For the money, it should NOT be chipping like this after only 6 months. UPDATE: Plow and Hearth, after reviewing our photos, sent a new bench. I am very impressed with the responsiveness of the company and how they stand by their products.     • There were chips and cracked wood, even pieces of the wood were broken off in box.

This was so disappointing as I wanted to have a beautiful bench as one shown in the picture. The problem is that the wood was chipped and there were even two pieces of wood broken off in the box. It is very difficult to return something of this size as well.

I love the design and style. The size is just perfect for my porch. However, I'm very disappointed with the color of the bench. I ordered the natural color but they sent me the dark coffee brown bench. Not what I ordered!

The pre drilled holes were so small the screws would not go in. Instead of drilling them bigger I sent back. Refunded no problem.
