  • PS4> Xbox One
This PS4 Bundle is the best deal you can get. You get the best gaming console on the market (trust me, I have both), along with one of the best games of all time, remastered for the PS4, with stunning graphics. Along with that, you also get a controller. I purchased this bundle for the price of a PS4 and received a game that I spent 40 hours playing along with another controller so my brother can play. PS4- This is the premier gaming console of 2015. I find it superior to Xbox One in a few key areas. First, PS4 is a much sleeker console than the Xbox One, I have them sitting side by side, but I constantly find the PS4 to be the sleeker, sexier of the two. Secondly, for those who use headphones regularly to play games, the PS4 will support any type of headphone with an Aux Output, The Xbox One requires a stereo headset attachment to use any headphones besides the headphones that come with the system. Some other things that I enjoy about the PS4 are: Spotify, Clean Home Screen, Touchpad on the Controller, Not overly complicated. I personally feel that the PS4 out performs the Xbox in each of these areas. Some people have said that PS4 controllers have a short battery life, however I have never had a problem with this. ... show more

  • As a PC gamer, I was blown away by the PS4
I was a PC gamer for years - and still am a PC gamer. But, I have been interested in some console games that aren't available on the PC. I had an XBox One, which was "OK", but never really loved it. Now, I am only judging this from one game - but the one way to describe it was "HO-LEE COW". Yes, that is the PG version. PS4 with this game was like playing a video game inside a movie. The graphics were mind blowing. The dialogue was excellent, The gameplay was fun and not repetitive. I very, very, very much look forward to future titles to play and feel myself being torn from choosing to play games on the PS4 versus a PC again. One of the issues I had with PC gaming is I have literally spent thousands over the last 10 years upgrading my PC to the latest and greatest hardware. Seriously, I probably have a new PC every 3 years and probably spend $1000-1500 building them, depending on the configuration. For $450 - this certainly wasn't cheap, but in comparison to what I spent in the past, it felt like a bargain. Only issue is i'm kind-of-sort-of getting used to the new controller versus a keyboard and mouse. ... show more

  • Great console, fantastic game
Bought this when I heard Fallout 4 was coming in November and wouldn't run on my Xbox 360. Pros: - Very small and slim. Matches up well with the rest of my TV components. - Fairly quiet compared to my computers and Xbox 360 - Very easy to setup with no huge power brick. - Comes with 'The Last of Us' which I didn't think much of when I got the console but really is an awesome game. - Seems the price has come down since I bought mine. That never sucks. Cons: - Not backwardly compatible with PS3 games. Really? If my TV can handle PS3 games I would expect the PS4 to also. - The remote doesn't have replaceable batteries so when the controller dies it's playtime over. For someone with a ton of Eneloop batteries I got used to just switching the dead ones out with fresh ones. ... show more

  • Next gen consoles should have been more powerful but this is still a great system!
This was a difficult review to make. I am a serious gamer and have owned ALMOST every system starting with the Atari 2600, but I am predominantly a PC gamer so with all the stuff I can do on a computer and how great the games look, triple monitor gaming, etc I am more critical of consoles than most. That being said this was well worth the money. The games do not look that great when compared to any PC game that has been released in the last several years, but for a console they look fantastic, a huge step up from PS3 and 360. It came with The Borderland the Handsome collection which I put on E bay immediately since I already have those games for PC (and they look better on PC). Now as far as The Last of us...wow! That game was just about worth the purchase by itself, I also grabbed The Order 1886, and Infamous Second Son both of which seem like great games. I love the Dual Shock 4, they did some pretty neat things with it, touch pad, built in speaker, etc. I am not going to compare this to the Xbox One since I only get consoles for exclusives so I need and like both systems equally. The PS4 looks a lot better and is much smaller, and you can change the hard drive. I just recently got my Xbox One because I was waiting for the 1 TB version since you can not change the HD in that system. ... show more

  • You Can Do Far Worse Than The PS4
As a lifelong Sony kool-aid drinker when it comes toward major consoles, I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this bundle. Having used the PS3 for 5 years, I wasn't exactly eager to make an upgrade because why fix it if it ain't broken, but when I found out certain games I wanted (Arkham Knight, Battlefront 3, ect) wouldn't be available on the PS3, I decided it's time to upgrade. I'm not going to repeat what many of the others have said, so I'll go over some different aspects. After two weeks with the system: I'm glad I made the switch. I'm not a major gamer, but for the games I do enjoy, this was certainly the right choice to make. MLB: 15, Injustice and The interface, controller, ease of access and rest mode are all fantastic. The controller feels much more natural in your hands. I'm not fond over the lack of free themes. It feels weird not seeing a "start" button on the controller, but you'll get used to this quickly. Rest mode is fantastic. I love being able to pause a game, exit the room and return an hour or two later and pick the game back up where I left off without needing to turn the system back on. If you're on the fence about getting this system, hop on over: maybe you can do better, but you can do far worse. ... show more

  • Faulty product- failed before 2 months of use
the ps4 listed here develops technical snags and has software glitches where u cannot see the games u have bought and downloaded.malso the disk drive creates noise when playing games. I didnt see that in an older ps4 which my friend owns. Must be something wrong with the piece. also it takes way too much time to load games ... show more

  • Good system, but had to return and replace mine
PS4 is a great gaming system (best for gaming in this console generation), however the user interface is still far inferior to the XBox's. The PS4 also has the problem that some of the devices have a problem which results in the system spitting out the disk at random times... so middle of a online shootout or an important campaign mission where you are just about to hit the checkpoint and then...#$!/ the system spits your disk out and you lose the game and/or progress. Mine and several people I know had this issue. I had to return it, but luckily I bought it through Amazon so was able to get it replaced quickly. ... show more

  • Love it.
The console itself is a sleek, well designed and engineered device. The software interface takes some getting used to as the PS4 is designed to be a modern day entertainment center, serving as a gateway to multiple functions. This leads to complexity in the interface that does take some getting used to for anyone new to this multipurpose electronic entertainment device. However, once one has played around for a bit, it does become intuitive, simple and easy to use. Above applies to the wireless controller also. I have only started playing the game The Last of Us so any comments are those of a complete novice. The graphics, story, user interface, visual and audio landscape is beautiful (I dare say mindbending but some minds are less supple than others). The concept is one that is new to me (my last foray into serious gaming were PC Classics Doom, Descent, from two decades ago) but one that helps me understand the belief that gaming will surpass movies as the leading diversion and entertainment in the near future. I now can't wait to go back to the game so must stop here. ... show more
