🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The PS4 Pro comes highly recommended with most reviews being largely positive about its performance, smooth-running, and clean condition. The console's game output, especially in 4K HDR, has been praised, but several users note that they encountered some issues with the joystick and region-specific functionality of DVDs. Packaging was criticised in one case, but did not seem to impact the product's functionality.

Pros

  • 🎮 Effective 4k HDR game output
  • 🏎️ Smooth running console
  • 🔆 Clean, in good condition
  • 📦 Accurate description and as advertised

Cons

  • 🌍 Some issues with region-specific functionality of DVDs/ Blu-rays
  • 🕹️ Some reviews mention faulty joysticks
  • 💼 One case of insufficient packaging

Should I Buy It?

Yes, the PS4 Pro comes highly recommended from most users. Despite some minor issues with joysticks and region-specific DVD functionality, the console's excellent game output and smooth operation outweigh these concerns.

    • Works perfectly and runs smoothly.

This ps4 feels so refreshing and new. It's very quiet like it doesn't even make a sound. I was shocked. When I place my hand on it I can't even feel the fan spinning inside it. It's amazing. Although I'm sure as I start to play more games on it over time, it will start being noisy, start heating etc but its just natural for these old gen consoles. This was also a good replacement for my very old and annoyingly loud broken ps4. The white on this one is very beautiful. I am very satisfied with this product and will be using this in the mean time until there is more content for the ps5. Thank you!! ... show more

    • New & Sealed - Got What I Wanted
Platform For Display: Console Only Edition: No additional items (White)
Some amazon sellers can be hit or miss so I was nervous especially considering the price I paid for new but this one was a definite hit. I could tell by the box and the way things were wrapped that it was in fact new. Everything works so I'm happy. Love the white look. Be advised: these units are from Europe so although any games will work fine, Blu-Rays have to be region B (Europe) to work on this. 4K Blu-Rays are region free, but those do not run in a PS4 because even though Pros are marketed as 4K that refers to game/streaming output, there is no 4k Blu-Ray drive in any PS4. Thanks Sony! Also do not use the cable included if you are in North America, get a new 110V power cord first. ... show more

    • Exceeded expectations
Platform For Display: Console Only Edition: No additional items (White)
I was hoping for the best, but after reading some reviews I was expecting something to be broken or banged up. I can gladly say that everything came in great condition! The ps4 has quickly become one of my favorite systems and I’ve been playing lots of Ghost of Tsushima and God of War. If you’re on the fence for this, get it!! Also I’ve noticed that the system gets very hot sometimes but maybe that’s normal? Idk I’ve never had a ps4 before. Getting a fan or a stand should help though so no worries. ... show more

Besides the scrapes and dents, the ps4 pro console itself plays Fortnite at more than 60fps on high settings without breaking a sweat. It took more than 2 hours to set up (including installing and updating all of the software necessary for it to run). The package did not include a ps4 dual shock controller, it included an offbrand controller (it still works, but feels cheap and flimsy) ... show more

Got unplugged a few times while in rest mode and nothing happened, which isn't a feat for ps4s in general, especially a pro, but still. I will recommend a cooling pad or stand, since they mostly get pretty heated. Pads are for laptops which is what I originally got it for, 17" ones are too wide for regular/slim, but will fit Pro. This is the one I got: Tree New Bee High Performance Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad for 15.6 - 17-Inch Laptops with (4 Fans) Four 120mm Fans at 1200 RPM, Black (TNB-K0025). Otherwise the cooling stands for ps4s ... show more
