Dead on Arrival. one controller works and dies after an hour. second does not hold a charge even when plugged in. Very disappointing for my 7 yr old who just wants to play old games with me.

I requested a return because I couldn’t get this controller to charge the battery, but then thought to charge it through the console and it is now charging. A brief written direction stating to charge it through the console would be helpful. My troubleshooting was to try many different cables and USB charging blocks. This controller works like a brand new one, and I hope it continues for years. Much better than the other generic controllers that I purchased although those charge with a USB block so I forgot about using the PS3 for controller charging. I’M GOING TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE.

These were probably the best controllers ever made, I have a 200 dollar Victrix I enjoy a lot but if they remade this exact model with Hall effect sticks and windows support that actually recognizes it as PlayStation with proper glyphs would be cool.

Like it came straight from Sony. This controller was purchased because I had one give up the ghost and needed a replacement. It has no drift or stuck buttons. Can't complain about it, at all.

Got a defective controller at first with three buttons not working. Returned it and got a replacement the next day. Pressure sensitivity, six-axis, rumblers, and bluetooth on the new controller work perfectly so I think this is a good buy. Just make sure to test it completely. I don't know what makes it genuine or not but it just works. Also, the cable that it comes with only seems to charge it. You'll need to buy another USB Mini B cable to wire it to your PC.

Knockoffs!!! 34 dollars for a controller and it worked for a few days, I skipped a while then when I went back right stick can’t stand straight anymore….. I have no control over the controller. There is no reset button. There is a hole there yes but in reality there is no button. Buy at your own risk buyer.

I purchased this renewed DualShock 3 (Model: CECHZC2E) about a week and a half ago, and for that time, it was an excellent controller. Upon inspection, I confirmed it houses the updated A2 motherboard revision, and physically, it felt like a brand-new unit. The tactile experience was spot on—the button response, trigger bounce-back, and analog stick tension were perfect. It handled everything I threw at it, running PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles (both physical and digital) with zero issues, and it held a solid charge during wireless play. However, after 10 days of reliable use, the controller suddenly ceased all function. I have performed a thorough diagnostic protocol: I used the reset pin on the back to attempt a hard reboot. I tested the controller with four different, verified-data USB cables. I attempted to charge/connect it through multiple host devices, including my PS3, PS5, Xbox, and PC. Even when plugged in, the unit shows zero LED activity. Given that the shell and buttons are in such pristine condition, it appears to be a sudden failure of the battery or the internal charging circuit despite the upgraded hardware revision. It is a major disappointment, as the controller was performing perfectly until this point. I am now seeking a return as the unit is completely non-functional. More updates once return/replacement is processed... (3 stars for the time being.)
