  • Love It!
Somewhat adjustable and when properly set up, it really works well. Yes, there is some movement, but not noticeable during game play. It has way less movement then some of the stands available. To me its main ancillary benefits are that it is lightweight and easily foldable even with the steering wheel and pedals attached. There is a difference between what this seat can hold (270 lbs) and what it can comfortably hold. At 5' 10 and 195 lbs I find it very comfortable. If you're over 6" 3" and are pushing 260 lbs, you will likely find the seat somewhat uncomfortable and more difficult to get in and out. If you're 5' 8" and weigh 260 lbs, you likely won't find the seat wide enough and will find difficulty getting in and out. For me the Playseat Challenge is perfect for what I wanted. I fold it down after every session due to space constraints. And once you adjust the straps for the seat the way you like them, you can simply open up the Playseat; readjust the pedal length (10 secs) and you're ready to go. ... show more

  • Great option for casual or budget racers
I upgraded my video game components (PS5 + PSVR2) to the point that I needed more for my casual racing purposes. I've been a Gran Turismo fan since PS1 and while the upgraded electronics made the game "better," it just seemed wrong to be using a controller while sitting on my couch. I decided to buy a Logitech wheel/pedal set up and quickly found that I needed something designed for them to be attached to. Short of building something myself, this was the most economical option that could suite my needs. As far as specs: I'm about 6'2'' and 200 - 210 lbs. I found a good setting after a few banged knees and have been very happy ever since. The setting doesn't allow me to sit as upright as I would prefer, so I imagine taller people could have a problem. ... show more

  • Great, however rust.
This is definitely one of the best tickets to get into sim racing. It can be folded/unfolded under one minute, which is a perfect choice for small spaces. It's a pity that my unit had quality issue: The rear support has rust and the paint is peeling off. Other cons: 1. Velcro strap is not strong enough to hold the pedal in place. The newer Logitech ver. got this issue fix because they have a actual pedal tray for actual mounting. 2. It doesn't support the load cell pedal well without mods. Pressing hard on the pedal will cause the entire chair to tilt up. This is a design flaw and even upgrading to Logitech ver. won't fix this issue. I'm not sure if I'd return it due to these flaws and the rust, since I plan on upgrading to the T-LCM pedals. However, I would still recommend this product if you don’t have a lot of space or you’re on a tight budget. Edit: Three weeks later I upgraded to the T-LCM pedals and surprisingly it wasn't too bad, the chair didn't tilt up too much in my preferred settings (white springs plus gray springs, no spacers), it was just, The Velcro strap still doesn't hold the pedal in place, and it sticks up when I press the brakes anyway... but I think I can live with that. Sadly, I found more rust. This time the rust directly corroded the paint. Since it came out of some tough corners, I don't even know if I'd be able to sand it down and repaint it myself (which isn't something consumers should be worried about in the first place anyway). I've heard that the new Logitech ver. has a better paint finish that resists rust better, but it's also a full hundred bucks more expensive... ...Is it reasonable to spend an extra $100, just to get a rig that won't rust? Playseat Challenge is a great Sim rig, great design, but my unit was really poorly built. ... show more

  • Best driving set up for Driving Racing Games
We got this driving chair for my sons - ages 12 and 13. They LOVE it! My husband, who is very tall, also fits nicely in it. It really gives them all the feel of being in a car and being on a race track. It was easy to put together - my son and I did it together. It’s sturdy while still being easy to move around the room while not in use. Highly recommend!!! Makes the video game more lifelike!!! ... show more

  • Not Fanatec compatible
Main issue is that it is absolutely not compatible with Fanatec as the description says. Pedals are too large for strap provided and there is no good way to fasten them to base. Doesn’t even deal well with the strength of the wheel either. Overall does not seem well built for the price

  • Good looking and comfortable seat, but bad paint on the body.
The seat was delivered on time and safely. The product seems well made and easy to assemble. Little hard to get in and out. The Logitech G29 i have works well with this rig. The paint quality of this product is abysmal though. When inserting the tubes during the assembly process the paint just chipped out on the end of the tubes. The rig being foldable is very useful and practical since it can be folded and stored easily. Feels pretty sturdy and not much wiggling. For the price this seems a good fit. Seat feels comfortable and i have been able to sit for few hours without much fatigue. The height is also adjustable and can be done with ease. Got few velcro cable wraps that can be used to have a good cable management. TLDR: Good rig with some paint defect on mine. Worth the price. ... show more

  • Daily driver, stashes away.
It’s a bit wonky but it folds away and is infinitely better than not having a cockpit. Quite comfortable. Wheel gets mounted solidly. There’s a little telescoping support that widens the base for stability.
