What I like: the amount you get and the two different sizes. They are very flexible. You can chop your ingredients, carry it over to your pots or containers, roll it up and your ingredients will fall into your pots and not all over the stove. They are thicker than the regular plastic mats which you give you longer use. My other plastic mats easily split after a while. I would not use them for cutting or chopping through large meats, not strong enough for that type of abuse. But it will be great for smaller meats, veggies and fruits. ... show more

Despite the additional effort required to clean and maintain them, my preference is wood cutting boards. Nevertheless, there are times when plastic is a better choice so it's prudent to have a set on hand. This set is better than most, the material is thicker and the backing is quasi non-slip. They don't move around as much as a typical plastic board on my counter but aren't completely non-slip either. These are the thin type, flexible boards, and as stated, they are thicker than most of these types of boards. The thing I like most about these is the non-slip bottom. You get a total of 10 cutting boards so it's a great deal for the price. They were thinner than expected, but that's ok because they take up less space in the cabinet.
