What is there not to love? It’s another great installment of PvZ! The graphics are beautiful, the new characters are a huge compliment to the original cast and there is SO much to do in this eclectic open world. Initially, I was bothered that there weren’t character variants as they have replaced this with new character customization. However, I got over that really quick. This game is fun and addicting, there are a ton of skins and character upgrades that will keep the game fresh for hours to come. Take it from a fan since GW1 and BUY THIS GAME!

My son has wanted a plants vs zombies game badly for a while. I got him this for his 6th birthday. He can barely stop playing it, and he loves it. He has picked up the game very quickly for a 6 year old and he has gotten me to play it with him a couple of times. it definitely is fun and has high quality graphics.

I loved this game simply because the art style is so fresh. The vibrant colors pop off the screen and I just find myself enjoying the scenery and the retro 50’s/70’s undertone, laden throughout the game. If you are looking for a casual third person shooter game, on the light hearted side of things, then you’ve found your game!

Fun game in the Plants vs Zombies series. Purchased as a birthday gift for my child and it has brought hours of enjoyment. My only negative feedback is the game requires you to be online at all times and does not have an offline option. Not an issue for older kids or adults but not something I am thrilled about with a younger child.

Bought this game because it's rated "E" so it should be good for kids, right? Joke's on me. Spent three hours this morning trying to get it up and running for my kids. Every time we tried to start it from one of the kids' PS4 accounts, it would refuse to start and say "Unable to log in." Edited all kinds of account settings, created a small mountain of accounts on EA.com to try to make it work, etc. Finally got on to the EA live chat to see what was the problem. Then fainted when they told me that EA games are not compatible with family manager sub accounts. *ONLY THE ACTUAL FAMILY MANAGER ACCOUNT CAN PLAY EA GAMES.* No problem, the rep said, just log in and let the kids play the game using the family manager account. Hahahaha WUT. Okay, here are the problems with that: (1) Every single time they want to start Plants vs. Zombies I will have to come in and enter the family manager passcode and log them into the family manager account. (2) Everyone will then be playing as the same user, so no different saved games, etc. (3) And the biggie: By doing that, they are then sitting there playing the game with FULL ACCESS TO ALL PARENTAL CONTROLS AND TO THE ABILITY TO CHANGE ALL RESTRICTIONS FOR ALL USERS. (3) By doing that, they are also in a zone in which all spending restrictions are bypassed. I'd heard that EA was a dark and dirty operation that just tries to get kids to spend their parents' money without their parents realizing it, but I didn't realize it was this blatant. DO NOT BUY. You'll find (and EA will happily confirm for you) that the game only works if you log into family manager to play the game, bypassing all restrictions so that your kids can sit there and spend, spend, spend to their hearts' content and also change their accounts to allow all content and all network interaction. EA isn't even being "sneaky" about this. They just flat out tell you: the game only works from the family manager account, with all restrictions off. No, it will not work from any other account. Yes, we understand that this means that to play the game, kids have to be given direct access to manage all parental controls. Some "E" game. This deserves the "M"est of the "M" ratings. I feel absolutely scammed. And furious.
