Two years ago, I purchased this bluetooth. It was great and I had no complaints. Unfortunately, it was in my husband's vehicle when he was hit by a truck. Last week, I purchased another one. The voice prompts were not in English. The factory reset did NOT work. I received a replacement and that, too, does not have the prompts in English. Again, the factory reset does not work. Why is Amazon allowing Plantronics to send equipment with the voice prompts in a foreign language. I am upset. ... show more

My last VOYAGER 5200 lasted 3.5 years and then began to glitch, require more frequent charging, not respond to inputs and physically fall apart. I ordered a new one which arrived in genuine packaging and now under ownership by HEWLETT PACKARD. The only unusual, strange thing I noticed was that the default language was set to Mandarin Chinese right out of the box. It worked perfectly for two weeks then began to glitch, not recharge and then not power on all within 24 hours. It also failed to connect to the POLY STUDIO APP for trouble shooting and updating. The seller, to their credit, allowed a free return/exchange and I was back in business. Again, the default language on the genuine replacement unit, labelled "new", was Mandarin Chinese. This one worked perfectly until 10 days after the AMAZON 30 days return window closed and it repeated the death throes of the previous defective unit. I submitted a warranty claim with HEWLETT PACKARD directly and received a replacement VOYAGER 5200 with the default language set to British English. So far, it has been working flawlessly for a week. I will update this review when this third unit dies of natural causes. I cannot blame the seller for a defective product that they don't manufacture themselves. They may simply have a bad batch from the HEWLETT PACKARD factory. In my opinion, the customer service was good. I received my order quickly and the return/exchange was done quickly without cost to me except for time. I am now rather leery of purchasing any electronics in which the default language is set to something other than the one spoken in the market from where I placed the order. ... show more

    • Everything I Was Looking For
In the past I have owned 2 voice activated blue tooth phones of another brand. I was satisfied with them but like everything else they finally quit working. I could no longer get that brand so searched the net for another phone that would allow the hands free communication with the calls. To handle a call the phone announces the caller ID and ask to answer or ignore. If ignored it takes the caller to your voice mail. I find it works great and has the ability to make calls also if your number is listed in your contacts. It has the ability to redial the last number called with 2 little clicks on the headphone. It is easy to use, the sound adjustments are very good and easy to operate. The only complaint I would voice is it comes with very poor instructions. You can download an app that does help and I found better assistance on Utube. They do have a contact number for help available. I will mention the size range for the actual cushion that fits in the ear are very satisfactory and the way you change the size you want is far superior to any Bluetooth I’ve had in the past. It is a lot less likely to be a problem. The other brands had slip on rubber pieces that easily came off where this phone actually is locked on when changed and very secure. I am very pleased with this phone and definitely recommend it. Indiana has passed a law that as of July 1,2020 it is illegal to use a cellphone while driving but hands free are fine. I wear glasses and also fit over sunglasses with no interference from the ear piece. ... show more

Buyer Beware: My Poly/Plantronics Voyager 5200 arrived with all voice prompts in Japanese instead of English. I attempted to install both the Poly Lens and Plantronics Hub apps on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra without success, so I couldn't change the language.
