The very essence of what I recall a real Christmas tree smelling like. It is on the pricey side, but the quality is there. My gf could smell it across the room shortly after I opened this tiny bottle. Currently trying to not waste it as I make tiny test batches of diffuser oil with DPG and pine oil, because I don't want to burn expensive candles if I can science a good alternative. This and pine in a smaller amount seems like the way to be; now to get the proportions right. I'm sure I'll be getting more!

Fir Needle Essential Oil by Plant Therapy - First, I have many allergies. My sniffles can quickly develop into serious breathing problems with congested sinuses and lungs. I have also become allergic or sensitive to most allergy pharmaceuticals. Therefore, I am always searching for more natural ways to help me. Fir Needle will clear up & drain my sinuses and clear up my lung congestion, usually within an hour (occasionally longer)! I never got that rapid a response from pharmaceuticals. I use it in aromatherapy although it can be mixed with a carrier oil (such as Fractionated Coconut Oil - there are many carrier oils that will work) & rubbed on chest or sinuses. I add 3-5 drops of Fir Needle to my 8 ounces of water in my aromatherapy appliance & let it diffuse into my closed room for as long as I feel the need for it up to the 6+ hours that empties the appliance. If I have been feeling really ill or slightly depressed (because of feeling ill), I will add 3-5 drops of Bergamot (excellent for the "blues"), or Grapefruit or Tangerine. I hasten to add that, while researching allergies, I have learned to never use or eat the same thing day after day. For instance, Fir Needle on day one, Cypress on day two and Niaouli or Eucalyptus on day three, always skipping 2 or 3 days before repeating anything. You do not have to have a lot of Essential Oils to accomplish this. I also rotate in Palmarosa which helps to clean the air thereby helping with allergies, and there are others. An important note is that not all products work the same on different people. So, when you try something and find the smell disagreeable or have a stuffy nose, etc, that product is one that will very probably not work on you. I cannot praise Fir Needle enough. Of the Essential Oils that I use, Fir Needle works the best and fastest for me. Hope you find one that will help you for whatever reason you are needing help. If one doesn't work for you, try another. I am especially impressed with the Plant Therapy Essential Oils as I have tried many other brands without the success I get with Plant Therapy. Note: When I need a really fast help for my allergies, I add 3 drops of Peppermint to 3 drops of Frankincense to a small bottle (very small - 1 ounce when I have one), swirl bottle well so that all insides are coated. I carry this in my purse and will sniff it when needed. It does work for a short time. (I got this recipe off the internet.)

I think it smells like pine but not overly strong. I mixed it in my diffuser with cedarwood in equal parts and it seemed the cedarwood overpowered it. Some commenters said it smells like Pinesol and I have to say it definitely DOES NOT smell like Pinesol.

I have been surrounded by forests and trees for 40 years and this scent is the most true to life scent I've found. It is wonderful. After literally trying 12 other oils that claim to have a pine scent, this is the one that woke up my senses inside the house. I'd also like to find a Spruce oil, but I haven't found one I like yet. I haven't used the oil for any medicinal purposes, but I love the scent!

Very watery and very weak scent. Smelled it right out of the bottle, put a drip on my finger and it was weak sauce. I usually take essential oils like this in dilute them with some unscented mineral oil and add a splash of vodka for a natural diffuser with wood sticks. This stuff is way too weak though like it's already diluted.
