I live in Arizona where you think we’d get great light all day, every day. However, our homes are heavily insulated and we have dark screens on all of our windows that not only block a bit of light, but they also block a lot of UV rays to help plants grow and be healthy. I got this light to rotate around my house to all of my houseplants. I want them to have a better chance at survival and overall health. This device does need to be plugged into an outlet and has a USB end. It can easily be put into a two prong outlet head, or even a charging block that moves with the light as you rotate to your different plants. It is smaller than what I was expecting, but it’s great for small to medium sized plants or flowers. It wven has a pointed end to stake inside a planted pot for stability. I would buy this again, and I still may go back and buy a few more to just keep in each pot, rather than having to rotate the light daily. I definitely recommend this UV lights for plants/ flowers that need an extra boost of UV light. I love the timer option as well, and it also had a couple different light options and brightness options with each color. There’s a manual that comes with it to teach you more. The lamp helps my indoor plants survive through winter. I’ve been using it for 5 months. Easy to set up. I like that it has a daily timer so it can light up every 8 hours . Great purchase for great price!

I was originally impressed with this versatile grow light for the taller of my smaller plants, but the thing stopped working after a couple weeks. The light flickered when trying to power on and then just died. Cheap junk: skip it.
