This was my first purchase from Plank+Beam. I’ve had my eye on their furniture for about 4 years now. I honestly cant believe the quality. I wish I would have purchased sooner. This is an actual solid wood bed. No veneer. No particle board. No manufactured wood. Real pine. It’s absolutely stunning in the natural finish color. All hardware and tools were in the packaging. All pieces were tooled correctly and holes lined up perfectly. Fits our 8” and 10” mattresses perfectly. The spacing of the slats for mattress support actually supports the mattress. There is also a metal bar you install under the slats for reinforced support. I’m just over the moon about this bunk bed set. I put these bunk beds together with my 12 yr old and 7 year assisting. Easy peasy. Took about 3 hours total after organizing the clearly labeled pieces and easy to sort hardware. Very straight forward. I’m immediately purchasing one of their beds for my teenager and for myself as well. In this economy, the price I bought this for and the price they are selling their furniture for in general IS A STEAL. BUY IT! Any big name brick and mortar is selling far less quality beds with fake wood for triple the price. I know because I’ve been searching for years. These are pieces built to last. Doesn’t have the typical bunk bed sway and no squeaking or noise. Rock solid. I’m so pleased. Every single piece of the build was quality down to the slats for the mattress support and the stairs for the ladder. No cracks or splintering anywhere. This bunk bed was extremely easy to put together and did not take too terribly long. I did everything by myself except put the twin bed on top of the full. I am a nervous nelly about everything and was nervous about my kid sleeping on top. The bed is super sturdy and I the rails are tall enough with a thinner mattress to keep my kid safe. Easy to put together! 1.5 people (.5 person to place bunk on top) Size and height is perfect for a small room and 8.5’ ceilings. I have one daughter that is here full time to sleep and two bonus daughters every other weekend so it was important to find something for everyone. Most importantly the bottom double bed has underbed clearance and DOES NOT have a support center post which would have prevented a trundle! Easy to make the bed especially with the removable ladder (but ladder can be fixed with screws that come with bed). All the hardware, dowels, anchors were perfect and all pre-drilled holes were aligned. Finish was consistent (white) with no warping or damage. The packaging was very well done and compact which made methodically unboxing and sorting a cinch. Twin top bunk is connected with steel posts and can be removed. My husband and I are really pleased with the quality of this bunkbed for the price we paid. It is very solid and sturdy and was easy for two people to assemble. There has not been any wobbling or safety issues. It looks great in our girls’ bedroom and fit both of their standard size twin mattresses.

Nice sturdy bed with a nice finish. Didn't offset much gas. Easy to build. I laid out the parts and after paying attention to the first rail everything after was simple. Difference is the safety rails, which if you forget all too have to do is loosen one side and slide them on. So overall extremely satisfied with the value of the product. Also good idea when assembling the rail is to put the screw in but don't tighten it as it will hold it together and make it easier. ... show more
