  • Great amp, small price, small size....HUGE SOUND!
Style: 1200 Watt 2-Channel
I purchased this amp by recommendation from a professional installer/retail outlet. Of course I purchased the unit from amazon. He told me amazon was selling this amp BELLOW his cost. I currently have three amps in my car system. This one was for my 6x9 polk audios. I use the built-in high pass crossover set at about 100-110 hertz. About 99% of the amps out there use peak ratings instead of RMS which is what they use on all home equipment. Typically, regardless of manufacturer. they are about 1/3 or in some cases 1/5th the peak rating in actual rms. By comparison, Planet audio rates their amps at about 85% or higher in rms. For example, this amp is 1200 peak/600 watts peak per channel x two (stereo). But the rms is 485 watts x two. I have a PYLE 1000 peak/500 watt peak per channel x two & the rms is a pitiful 145 watts rms. Now figure that one out for yourself...do you want 485 watts rms per channel or 145? They are also smaller in size, cleaner in thd (.01), better in signal to noise ratio (110). All this stuff amounts to an amplifier that is nearly double or better in quality than any amp out there at nearly double the price. An added feature is a control knob you can mount anywhere in reach to turn the bass up or down ten decibels. Whats neat is that it uses a standard telephone cable that is supplied & if something were ever to happen to your original wire, any telephone cable would replace it. To put it bluntly, you would be a complete moron to buy any other brand of amp with very, very few exceptions (American Bass for example is better but BOY are you gonna pay more). ... show more

  • Good amp.
Style: 1000W Class A/B
Matched it with my 300 watt sub. A little underpowered but still serves its purpose. The real rating is probably closer to low 200s rms. For the build I was going for it fit the job very well. At a very good price.

  • Powerful Little Amp
Style: 1000W Class A/B
I used this to power 2 12" subs in my CR-V and it worked fantastic. Not only is this amp affordable, it's powerful! The little remote power control thing that came with it didn't really do anything. I ended up disconnecting it. It was easy to install and tune in. Highly recommend!

  • Nice amp!
Style: 1000W Class A/B
This amp looks nice, and feels well made in a fairly compact size. I went with the 1000 watt for my two 10” 300 watt rms subs wired to 2 ohms each. This amp powers they well and I don’t even have it turned up all the way. I can say I’m glad I didn’t go with the smaller 6 or 800 watt amp like I was contemplating. Overall good bang for your buck. ;) ... show more

  • Best car amp out there for the money.
Style: 2000W Class A/B
I bought two of these amps. One for my wife's car sub and one for mine. WE are both running 12" subs in vented boxes and they sound fantastic. With the warranty provided by Amazon (4 years parts and labor) it is an absolute no-brainer. Neither of us is using ours with the gain turned much past halfway point, and these amps rock our vehicles. I really don't see spending any more money than this, as I don't think you could ever hear an improvement in sound. They are truly a find. Buy one and you won't look back, We run ours for hours on end, inot a 4 ohm load, and these amps never even get warm. The SQ is fantastic.. I have one question though.....Why are all these people buying these terrible speakers? All the ones I have heard mentioned like kickrs and others are absolute junk. terrible....do yourselves a big favor and buy a Dayton audio speaker......any of them...just make sure the parameters fit your use, and the volume fits your box...and you will have a new amp again, and a much better one, because until you upgrade speaker drivers, you are being held hostage by inferior speakers that you have been lead to believe are really good, and they are NOT....they are really terrible in comparison to what is available. Don't pay for the big companies' advertising campaign expense in promoting this stuff and buy yourself a really great driver to go with this fine amplifier.. ... show more

  • AC2600.2 Actual Wattage Output: 300x2 RMS Watts
Style: 2-Channel Class A/B
Hello. I will keep this short and truthful. I have installed car audio systems for 15 years. I am an engineer. I purchased the AC2600.2. Below are the advertised specs of this amp versus true specs. Important to know: Max wattage for amps and subs alike should be ignored. It has no relevance. RMS or "continuous" wattage is what you hear when you are driving in your car listening to music. Period. Advertised RMS total: 1800 Watts Advertised RMS x2 @ 2 Ohms: 900 Watts per channel True RMS total: 600 Watts True RMS x2 @ 2 Ohms: 300 Watts per channel Very Important to know: Every amp comes with 1 or more fuses which are rated by "Amps". To calculate an amp's true RMS wattage capability, add the amps of each fuse together and multiply that number by 10. There is your true wattage output, give or take anywhere between 1 and about a max of 100 watts. This amp came brand new with just two 30 Amp Fuses. 30+30=60 Amps total 60 Amps total X 10 = 600 Watts capability +-100 Watts... So maybe 500 Watts, maybe 700 watts. Listening Experience: Ultimately, I was exceptionally disappointed in the level of output coming from this amp. The sound quality was pretty clean, if the gain/level input was turned down. However, my subs were grossly underpowered and the output was poor. I had the gain up half way. If I turned it up more than half way, the signal clipped a lot and my subs were in danger of getting damaged. The output was unbelievably low. Unless cranking the bass boost up to 75% minimum, causing more signal clipping, the output wouldn't even come close to a satisfactory level. Utterly lackluster, no deep notes, no punch. NO FUN. The finale: Ultimately, this amp put out 300 Watts X 2 of sound at the max, when clipping. At gain levels that would not send clipped signals to the subs, the subs were getting an estimated 200 watts each. From an amp advertising 900 watts per channel RMS. False advertising for a poorly performing amp. Do not buy. Spend a few extra hundred on a quality amp. You will never 2nd guess that decision afterwards. ... show more
