Update:9/12/16 So as I said in my original review, sometimes these will not fit if your teeth are too crowded. So I only had braces on the top teeth and the floss worked well. I got the bottom today and my teeth are too crowded I guess because it definitely is not going in. I'm hoping that when they straighten out a bit they will fit. As of now I guess I have to floss the other way which I hate but oh well. I got these and the Platypus ones to see which ones work better but they both worked the same for me and in the future I may just stick with these because they're cheaper.. Anyway here is my review. I was very happy when I got these because I hated flossing with the other kind of floss. These worked for me and fit great under the wire. It may get a little challenging if your teeth are too crowded or close together (my front ones weren't exactly crowded but seemed like the braces pushed them closer together so the floss wouldn't fit but after a few weeks, spaces opened)... I am now able to floss pretty quickly. It's hard flossing the back teeth though I think this would happen with any floss though. It just takes time to get the hang of it I guess... It may also not fit under your wire if you have small teeth or something... I guess it may depend on the kind of braces you have too. I have traditional ones and stick out a lot maybe if you have smaller flatter ones it may not fit.. I don't know, but I guess you won't know if they work for you until you try. ... show more

These Ortho pics are perfect for those with braces and even for those without braces! They can squeeze perfectly between many braces. However sometimes there is not enough of a gap for the pic to squeeze through or sometimes the gap might be a little tight making the pic sort of “snap” into the gap after some pressure is applied. This just depends on how tight your braces are and your circumstance and this problem can’t really be avoided. I still recommend these pics, however, because when they do work it makes life so much easier! In conclusion, these pics are a great, easy way for many people with braces to floss! ... show more

I could not find the correct flossers for my sons braces in store nearby. Found these on Amazon and they work great. Price is high, that’s the only thing that annoys me and of course it’s pretty much a one time use per flossed so def not great for the environment but they work perfectly to get underneath the arch wire. ... show more

I got the Fremouth-branded floss picks first and thought they were pretty good for what I needed for my braces. However, I’m new to this braces journey and was looking into different brands to see if it could get even better. During one of my ortho appointments, my dentist recommended I try Plackers. I told her I’d try it out and I ordered them as soon as I ran out of the Fremouth brand. Well… let me just say that Plackers don’t have anything on Fremouth. First of all, as you can tell by the photos, the bottom plastic part of where the floss connects to the tool is thicker than the Fremouth (I’m referring to where you are actually able to slide this tool in between your teeth and braces to floss). And this is a big deal because if you have braces, you know that’s not a big gap and it’s the whole point of buying special picks that were made to be small enough to fit into this gap… I had to push and pull uncomfortably most of the time to get the tool in between the braces and my teeth, vs with Fremouth, I never had that issue. This issue is enough for me to return the item, because why should I strain to try and get a “braces” flossing pick into my teeth to floss when there are easier options??? But that’s not all, I never realized how convenient it was that Fremouth’s pick is hard and thin and not bendable and can easily slide into the gap between my braces and teeth. The Plackers brand has the orange rubbery pick and it is not hard plastic!! It’s more of a stiff, bendy rubber that is a little too thick for it to go in between and it does a bad job of being able to pick anything out from your teeth. The hard plastic end next to the orange rubber pick is even worse, it does bend outward, which is kind of cool, but it is so thick that it can’t slide underneath your wire… *face palm* you can clearly see how thick the end of it is and so it’s not even a pick…. I don’t know what they think that was supposed to be for… so there’s a rubbery, bendy pick that does nothing for you and a harder plastic “pick” that is thick and dull and not functional as a pick. Overall, get the Fremouth brand and forget Plackers. ... show more
