  • Mostly great with some strings attached
Color: 1kg Pla+ Orange Sunny
I was using this filament on a Bambu P1P. The first Benchy came out great with very few issues without even slowing down the printer. Subsequent prints had troubles with stringiness at times. I've struggled to eliminate strings even after calibrating for the the Sunlu PLA+. I find I'm always pushing to the low end of the nozzle temps (205, with flow of 92). I also slowed my printer way down (nothing over 80mm/s). BUT this stuff looks amazing when I can get a few layers down without stringing. I love using it in Hueforge projects, it's bright, usually super smooth and i rarely see layer lines. The perfect color for halloween prints. ... show more

  • Plus prints just as easily as standard PLA
Color: 1000g Black
I've run through many rolls of Sunlu filament and always gotten solid, clean results when printing their PLA. I needed a bit of extra strength for a recent project where PETG or PC wouldn't have been appropriate, so I tried out this PLA Plus from Sunlu. It printed just as well as their standard PLA and gives clean results. The project is holding up perfectly well and I have no complaints. 220/55 was appropriate for my printer with a glass bed. The only minor differences I've observed so far are a slightly more flexible feel and a tendency for brims to be marginally more difficult to remove. Neither are dealbreakers and are both exceptionally minor complaints. ... show more

  • Burly wood PLA + is so far best print ever!
Color: 1kg Pla+ Burlywood
Ive been ordering different filaments off Amazon. Most have been a bust because they break. But, this is by far the best print so far and it is crisp and it is cleanest print ever. The things it had printed in the burly wood PLA + has been some of my best prints. I will continue to buy this just because of the color, which I'm in love with, but, also for the way it prints. ... show more

  • Got an unlabeled, horribly wound spool, and I'm a little confused
Color: 01kg White
I'll be attempting to print with the white filament I received soon, so I may adjust this review based on the quality of the product in the next week or so. In the meantime, I'm a little... concerned with what I received. I ordered 2 1kg spools of white PLA Plus, and received them (although judging by recent reviews and images, what I received very likely is not in fact Sunlu's PLA Plus blend). I also received an unlabeled spool of some black filament. I'm not even sure if it's PLA. The concerning detail is that this spool has by far the *worst* spooling job I have ever seen. Look at the photos. I didn't imagine it was possible for a spool to be wound like this. There are multiple breaks in the filament. The entire bottom third is beyond a disaster. It doesn't even seem to be a full spool. What am I supposed to do with this? There's no way I can print with it, even if I knew what it was. Did Sunlu just not want to throw this away, and decided to give it out as a "bonus?" A cursory inspection of the white PLA I ordered suggests that the spooling is much better there, but now I'm concerned about what might not be visible just yet. I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on my printer while using this filament. I'm hoping there won't be any issues, but the state of this unlabeled mystery spool has me very concerned. This will either be the first of many times I buy Sunlu's filament due to the low prices, or the last time I buy it due to the quality. ... show more

  • Great filament
Color: 01kg White
I have used two or three rolls from sunlu and they have not disappointed me yet. I have hade other filaments that the print would mess up half way through. I changed the roll to the Sunlu and it printed just fine.

  • Sunlu selling reg PLA as PLA+
Color: Pla+ Bk+wt+gy+bl+gn+or+rd+py+lg+bg
Up until about 2 weeks, Sunlu was shipping you their REAL PLA+ ...the good stuff...really tough...high temp printing 210-235°C. However, now all of a sudden, sunlu is putting a "+" on their regular PLA labels and shipping regular PLA in single, 2x, & 10x 1kg packs as "PLA+". It appears they are just dumping PLA on people at elevated prices. I mean everything with this PLA+ is exactly the same as their regular PLA. It's the same material, consistency, density...prints at the same temperature (205-215°C) as their regular PLA...they didn't even try to wind it onto the spool they use for the real PLA+,, you know the PLA+ that prints at 210-235°, that REAL PLA+ comes on a totally different looking spool. This bs "PLA+" sunlu is shipping now is literally their regular PLA, that's already been wound onto their regular PLA spool, with the same regular PLA recommended printing settings, but with a "+" inked onto the tiny white square label on the spool. I'm pretty disgusted. I've been using sunlu for as long as I've been 3d printing. I've actually referenced how good their "REAL" PLA+ is in reviews for OTHER sellers' PLA. Like I've suggested people wait for sunlu PLA+ to drop below $15 and buy it over others' regular PLA or PLA+. Now here sunlu is literally crudely labelling their PLA as PLA+, and selling it as such. I DON'T recommend sunlu REGULAR PLA or this relabeled "PLA+" at this price over some other sellers' PLA or PLA+. I'm going to have to go back over other reviews and edit them now. WTH. Anyway. I'm not buying sunlu PLA or PLA+ or anything until I know what is going on here. I have purchased, no lie, easily over 50 rolls of sunlu PLA (PLA+, regular, meta...). Idk what is what all of a sudden at sunlu. Super concerning. I know I thought I was getting a really good deal on a pack of PLA+ and it turns out I got slightly ripped off on a pack of regular PLA sold as "PLA+". Now to return it I'd have to lug a 25lb box to UPS or whole foods and eat 25lbs worth of shipping cost because sunlu can call whatever they want PLA plus as long as they make sure the "+" is crudely added onto the small generic white label. I also have a couple of singles I'm stuck with bc like a chump I thought maybe they are only ripping people off with the 10x. So 1kg packs are also not their real PLA+. That's another thing about 3d printing and PLA and PLA plus.... There is no regulation or standard for what differentiates PLA+ from regular PLA. Typically it just means the manufacturer has added something that makes it tougher. Whatever it is, it's usually proprietary and differs from one manufacturer to another. That's why to really know if a PLA+ is actually tougher or better than a PLA, you really need to try it, or understand the specs, AND/OR trust the seller labelling it as PLA+ and not just PLA. I've tried sunlu PLA, understand the specs, and now have to take back my trust of the seller. I'm baffled. PS: The photos are new PLA+ (Not though) on the left, real sunlu PLA+ on the right. Individual comparison photos are one side, the other side is the 4 new left vs 4 old right. I only used 4 rolls in the photos because those are the only colors that I had of real sunlu PLA+ to use for comparison. I probably have 10-15 real sunlu PLA+ rolls in the supplies, mostly black & white, ready for my next full Storm trooper armor or the likes, or really any and every helmet or armor I print... Bc it's tough and money for those types of prints. I used it excessively and swore by it. This sunlu PLA+ ain't that stuff. ... show more

  • Good filament for the Price
Color: 1kg Grey
If you can find this on sale (less than $20 for 1kg), this is excellent filament. I've had some minor adhesion issues likely due to user error or printer settings, but other than that, it has been printing very well. As the price keeps climbing, I'd say there may be higher end filaments to consider, but at the price I got this it was an excellent value and product for the money. ... show more
