I bought this for my Olympus OM1 camera and I love it. I also have an older set for my Sony A7 with a different cable. I've done a lot of long exposure shots with this. When you start a long exposure you can see the time on the remote. I only used 3 of the modes which are single shot - bursts(multiple-shots) and bulbmode(long exposure). Also love that you can buy the AAA batteries in both units everywhere. And it also work threw glass. I highly recomend this product! I used it together with bird-eye detection and wide-focus area and nailed almost every shots. Here's a shot with a 135mm lense from aprox 1,5m away.

This unit was slated to work with the A7iii, but didn't even come close. No matter how I connected this unit (with or without the receiver) it did not function as described. It also bricked my camera while connected meaning I couldn't push any of the buttons. A complete waste of money. Of course I am outside the return window, so into the recycle bin it goes.

Really like this shutter release. At one point, sat it outside on my camera pointing at a hummingbird feeder. I couldn’t be outside or birds stayed away, so used this so I could trigger camera from inside the house. Worked perfectly.
