This mike works well as a lapel/lavalier mike, but my opinion the sound quality is not better than the iPhone 11 builtin mike. The sound quality is very good, mind you, but not an improvement. I wanted this for live music (piano) recording and side by side tests were the same in sound quality. So....if you want a decent mike on a wire, at a good price, buy this. If you want improvement on the iPhone mike sound quality and don't need the wire, nah, save your money. BTW, this worked fine with my Otterbox Defender case. No problems with the plug.

this thing works! sounds way better than built in mic, great for doing run and gun videos with an iphone. most importantly, there are no adapters needed—just plug it in and you’re ready to go. also, always remember to unplug it before you play back video or else you won’t be able to hear anything.

Perfect cord size well-built and works as advertised although the mic itself seems a little large and not very discreet. Plugs right in to your lightning port on your iPhone. The overall sound is good but a bit muffled. Great mic and it gets the job done!

This is supposed to be plug and play, but it is not that at all. Plugged into my iOS device and from them on, it did not work. I tried several test videos and simply got no sound. There was supposed to be an icon that shows the device to be working, but it did not connect. The website is slow and useless. Do not waste your money or your time.
