This little guy is perfect for just me one or two other people if I have somebody over but it is perfect Since I mostly smoke and Grill just for myself just got it. I did 2 quick trial runs on it, I'm used to a bigger smoker but unfortunately due to tripping iver a dufus dog and knocking it off the deck, no more bigger smoker. I did a ribeye and a sockeye salmon filet and they both turned out absolutely perfect. Priming it was easy it got up to Temp fast it maintained temp and clean up was super easy, I love the option of the Searing plate once my steak was done I put a little flame on each side just to give it some beautiful color and that little bit of crispiness. Worked great, but I do think that would be one of my only two complaints which are minor would be great if they had an easier way to slide the cover over the steering plate and if it were Bluetooth that would be amazing other than that I would definitely buy one again and I am actually kind of sad I did not jump at this sooner. ... show more

After burning through 2 Traeger tabletop grills (used a couple weeks a year camping), I figured I would give the Pit Boss a shot. After all they are a bit less spendy. I read the reviews and looked at the negatives which I found a bit whiny. I mean come on, complaining about the sticker on the lid? Good grief, take it off before using the grill is common sense. Others obviously had never used a pellet grill before and complaints were inexperience related. The positives were encouraging. So, I bought one. Assembly - Followed the instructions. Easy and all parts and hardware were included. First Fire-up - Flawless start-up (again follow the instructions). Cooked off all the stuff from manufacturing. Cooking - Very good. Again, flawless start-up, cooked exactly as intended, results were excellent. Held temperature well. Better than the Traeger. Cleanup - Very clean burning, hardly any ash. Use good pellets. Longevity - We will see, but so far, I am impressed with the build quality. If you are looking for a small grill, this one is great. This is our take along for the RV. And it is perfect for our needs. Our large grill is a RecTeq, which we love. They are pricier and have more features, but that is expected for the price you pay for them. ... show more

I received this smoker in excellent condition. Packed very well with styrofoam protection. Assembly was easy. After following the initial burn process, which is an important step, I smoked a rack of baby back ribs with Pit Boss Competition pellets @ 225 degrees f. to internal meat temperature of 190 degrees f. The cooking took 3 hours. The grill temp and meat probe displays were very accurate. I also own an Oklahoma Joe’s side box charcoal smoker grill. The Pit Boss smoker produced better tasting and moist ribs with less trouble than the Oklahoma Joe’s has ever done. All you do is pre-heat to temp setting, place the meat on the grill and walk away. I did spray apple cider vinegar on the meat every half an hour to keep the meat moist. Excellent product in my opinion. BTW, I am a very experienced back yard BBQ guy. 😉 ... show more

Perfect size for home, tailgate parties and camping. It is electric but most vehicle have power plugs. Putting it together was a breeze and it is beautiful!! Do follow instructions to fire it up with pellets before you use it to cook. Last but not least, customer service at CWDS is also 5 stars. Highly recommend this product! ... show more

I've read negative reviews that there were metal burns, but I have NOT found this. This camping (solo) grill works just as well as my large Pit Boss!!! It also comes with a COVER and a TEMP PROBE. I am the envy of other campers when they smell my pork ribs smoking while I'm on the road! It's a bit heavy, but think of the advantage to have a pellet fed smoker/grill!!!     • THIS One Was Junk And Pit Boss is Worse.

Junk from a company that doesn’t stand behind this product. Started out great! Great little smoker. Began getting an ERROR message. Wouldn’t work. Called pit boss and the first customer service meeting I had was perfect, they used my phone as a camera and showed me what the problem was. It was the igniter. They shipped another igniter to me and sent a PDF as to how to install the new one. Problem is, and if you’ll look on YouTube, there are videos that will verify what I’m saying, the old one could not be removed and the new one could not be installed unless you had specific tools. This little grill has very tight “guts” behind which this igniter has to be Houdini’d in. 🤣 Third time I spoke with customer service was today, he said there were no special tools needed, you just needed to force it out and the new one in. Said it’s under warranty so don’t worry about forcing something and breaking it, pit boss will replace broken parts. 😂 You can’t make this up. You just have to get back behind the fan housing and work it out but when I told him I shouldn’t have to work anything out because this thing is two months old, he didn’t like that and when I asked him if I could get a refund, he said they didn’t do that, they just send out parts. So I was puzzled and asked him if he worked for pit boss, to which he replied yes, then I was left with no choice but to tell him they don’t stand behind this product. It’s two months old and I’ve used it less than 6 times and it should not be giving me a problem. Thankfully, Amazon, even though I was outside the refund and returned window, graciously decided to let me return it for a full refund. Just know if you buy this grill and you have a problem Pit Boss won’t be there for anything but to tell you, sorry, we don’t take them back. ... show more
