Have tow of these reels. Have a 2000 on a ultra light rod. Liked the reel so much. When I needed a 3000 reel got this model again. Really a smooth reel. One turn of the hannle. And the reel will turn a couple of spins on it own. Good quality and a good price. It is a very good value.

The drag is great and durable,they are super light and fit my needs for either fishing largemouth bass, walleye ,wipers and trout.     • No anti-reverse disengage lever

I bought this reel for my wife to use. I took it out today to see how it matched up to a new rod. All seems well. For an inexpensive reel, it casted nicely and the drag felt smooth. The bail kicks back easily. The retrieve was very smooth and silent but unfortunately, not catching anything, I didn't get to load test it. :) My one knock on it is that it is the only reel I own that does not have a lever to disengage the one-way clutch. My wife will often accidently crank the lure too far in. On the old reels, she knows to flip the lever and let a little line out. She'll have to get used to this one. I was surprised Piscifun did not include the lever function on this reel as even the next lower model series (Flame) includes it. Certainly not a major issue, just letting you all know in case like me, you didn't look closely at the photos before ordering. ... show more

Great reel! Super smooth and looks great on my hand built 9'6" crappie pole. I went with the 1000 size and balances perfectly. Already purchased a purple one for the pink rod I made my daughter. Definitely will be buying a couple more and a red flame for my red pole I am building

I currently own total of 8 of these reels in both 2000 and 1000 size. Price/value is relative. Cheap is seldom good when it comes to fishing line or fishing reels. These are really nice reels for the average person. I use a 30 lb braid backing/filler, to fill most of the reel before finally using about 70 yards 10 to 15 lb braid, or 6 to 8 lb mono. From 3 inch minnows to 20+ pound catfish, these reels have performed reliably and smoothly. My opinion: great mid-range value. I've had more expensive reels that were not better.
