This is such a nice vacuum. It is light weight so I can easily pick it up by the handy handle or scoot it around on the wheels. It does not tip over like my old one. The suction is good and there are places on the vacuum to store the attachments, so you don't have to look for them when you need them. Very well thought out. So far I'm keeping this in the house which they recommend. This is great around the litter box or wherever there is dirt that is hard to pick up or get to. The hose is long enough I was able to sweep under the bed and get all those dust bunnies. Probably not heavy duty enough for a workshop, but they make other models for that. While the unit is pretty small for a shop vac, it has performed admirably! Great power for such a small unit, and while I don’t think I’ll use it for typical shop vac work (I doubt I could use this in the garage shop) due to the incredibly small volume, it definitely works as a powerful all-tasks vacuum for the home. It’s cleaned up pretty much anything I’ve needed to vacuum away, from wet cat food from sloppy cats, to litter knocked out of the pans, to food I’ve accidentally dropped on the ground, and spent coffee grounds that I’ve dumped on the floor due to a powerfully immense hangover. All gone! Delightful! I would definitely recommend this little unit for housework of all kinds, but I’ll likely grab a 10-15 gallon version for work in the shop. I seriously doubt it would be able to handle all the wood dust/shavings from making furniture, but cat puke is not a problem! 👍 ... show more

Primarily use this to clean the garage and cars, but also to clean up home improvement projects. Great suction and great capacity so clean up quick and empty infrequently. Loud but that is expected - wear ear covers or plugs when using. The blower function works great to "sweep" the garage. Attachments are useful. Cord is short but works fine with an extension cord.     • Worthwhile Shop Vac - Does a very good job

Pros -- Easy to use and assemble. Maneuverable and lightweight - easy to pick up and carry if needed. Long enough cord for usual use in normal work areas. Great suction. Surprisingly low noise (of course it makes noise, but it is quieter than my older B&D shop vac that had a motor with 1/2 the horsepower of this one). Looks like it will be easy to clean the stainless steel tank if collecting without dust bag. Well made and durable. Price is right and one need not spend more for a compact shopvac for home/handyman use. Cons -- 1) Flex hose is VERY disappointingly short at 5 feet; an extra foot would make it much easier to get to the back edges/corners of workbench and around back of work area. (I speak from experience; my older B&D shop vac had 6 foot hose.) With a longer hose, I would give this 5 stars. 2) Extra parts are stored on the base which seems convenient until they catch on something when maneuvering. A good idea but could have been accomplished in a better manner. 3) It make absolutely no sense that the hose and tubes plug together so each joint has an obstructing inner edge to catch material that will build up and block the flow; if designed the other way around, there would be MUCH less frequent blockages. This is not just a Stanley design flaw; it was also true of my older B&D and other models I have used. ... show more
